January 2021 Transfer Window

No, but we do need them to start playing well :D

Maitland Niles going to West Brom then. Was he the guy we were interested in at start of the season ?

Option to buy for Liverpool on Kabak is £18m according to Paul Joyce, another one I would have been open to us targeting

I'd be steering clear of any Schalke players personally, mentally they must be absolutely gone after the last 12 months.

Good point

but seems there is decent value out there. Not necessarily for now but be interesting who we target/bring in the summer (let’s get there first mins..)

Unless WJ scores a few it’s a pretty underwhelming window given the pre window comments. We are in dog shit form yet pinned our hopes on one who we loaned to get experience and another who we wrote off and brought back only to loan him again. That’s four consecutive poor windows for me. WJ may be the jewel but we are a cm and a CH short in that squad, with or without injuries.
There was plenty of wait and see at the end of the window comments. I waited and I am disappointed.

A little confusing we are putting a few players out on loan, but so far we have not solved our striker and offensive midfielder problems to fix our total lack of offense

I’m afraid that, and it is very sad, that Raul may not be cleared to ever play again. We really need to get a true number 9

That's absolute nonsense about Raul and you know it is.

He sustained a terrible injury, we all hope for the best, but we have seen others not be allowed to continue with less severe injuries than he sustained. Would be a huge loss for the sport, Hope for the best prepare for the worst. Coach even said in interview he has no timeline on his return this season.

Luke Matheson going on loan to Ipswich
About as good a move as I think we could have got him considering his age, not quite ready for the Championship but maybe by the start of next season

Talk about overdramatic.

Yes, it's possible that Raul may not return

No, it's not likely. Don Goodman had a very similar injury and came back just as good as he was before. Expected recovery time is in the order of months, so returning this season would be a bonus, not an expectation.

Correct that is why we need to get a striker to fill the spot. Silva has been a total no show, and the new guy Jose is trying but he will need another month at least

Yet it was only smart goalkeeping stopping him scoring on Saturday. After recent performances Jose is the least of our worries.
