It's Official!!: Europa League Thread

That’s brilliant. My trip away on the 19th has literally just been cancelled. Home second leg is perfect :)

What time does Pav wake from his drunken stupor ?

Very pleased with that. Olympiacos were nothing special at all last night, Arsenal were just awful. Also we nicked their best player :D

Arsenal were awful but you did not think Olympiacos were very well organised and setup to frustrate?

WEll, we must know plenty about them - obviously watched DP a few times & assume he'll be having lengthy discussions with the coaching staff

Reasonably solid I suppose but hard to gauge against so little pressure, we're a better team than Arsenal anyway. Been above them all season.

They also played Spurs twice this season, lest we forget

Draw could've been a lot worse. 2 strong teams from Inter/Getafe/Sevilla/Roma will go out, and one from Istanbul/Copenhagen will go through. Promising.

We have been shortened and are now THIRD favourites.

Utd 4/1
Inter 5/1
Wolves 13/2
Sevilla 7/1

Anyone with LPs or with a ST not going to the home game? Probably it's the only chance I've got to see Wolves live this season, so I'll bite it!

If we can avoid defeat in the first leg then we will go through I’m sure. Athens, like Istanbul, has always been a difficult place to go in Europe

cheeky fucker i jus got back from work, and just saw it on the beeb, still no one mentioned it but i bloody knew it, it was the draw i wanted. now i have to get a ticket for the away leg.
It's great draw for us, but not to be taken lightly. they can play a bit, but i seriously cannot see them dealing with Adama, let alone Neves, Raul and moutinho.
I don't follow them here but by tommorrow night i will have the serious dope on what we can expect, a great pal of mine used to play for them, so we might get a serious inside info touch.
They have their own custom buil stadium now, down near piraeus which is a decent metro ride out of Athens, and if their fans get shitty which they can do, you certainly do not want to be caught at the tiny metro station which was built alongside the ground. you can drive to it but if you arrive tonight you still won't have parked by kick off time.
ok more info when i have donned my inspector Cluseau frock, and banged a cypro or two down a few necks. If i get a icket sure as eggs is egs i will be in the home end, and for me that is no problem, but i wouldn't advise it for away fans coming from wolves
If you wan to make the trip without a ticket i will try and meet up in athens as it will be on the v in every church never mind bars etc.
ok back tomorrow with some serious info.

Bet 365 has Olympiakos at 7/5 and Wolves at 9/5 for the first game. Betfair has us clear third favourites, with Olymp at 54/1 to win the thing. We really ought to go through to last 8
