The government wasnt 'willing to let them die'. The government provided food and medical attention that they refused. No doubt if they'd been force fed then that would have been terrible as well.

The idea that people in prison should be able to use a cheat code of not eating in order to get automatically released is absurd. Sympathising with their cause doesnt change that.
 
Interesting that one of the methods to murder he has chosen is "euthanasia". Apparently doctors are lining up to drive the vans
 
Karl Marx said barbarism was one of the indicators of the dying throes of capitalism. I think we're in an age of barbarism. Sometime in the future historians will write books asking the question "What the fuck was the world thinking?"

That's assuming capitalist greed doesn't destroy the planet and wipe out the human race first. Which is the course it is taking.

This is absolutely beyond comprehension.

The bill stipulates that residents in the West Bank who kill an Israeli “with the intent to negate the existence of the State of Israel” will be sentenced to death. The court will be authorized to impose life imprisonment instead of the death penalty based on “special reasons or circumstances.” The bill calls for the Israel Prison Service to carry out executions by hanging within 90 days of sentencing, with no right to appeal.

The bill effectively establishes the death penalty as a punishment exclusively for Palestinians convicted of nationalistic crimes, while excluding nationalistic murders carried out by Jewish Israelis against Palestinians.
