NSFW Ipswich away - Build Up & Matchday Thread

Well I decided to get a ticket and I just bought the 2nd last one. Only one left so be quick

So...Is anyone going for a beer, pre match? Looks like I can get there either 11-28 or 12-07 depending on what train I get from Northallerton

Not sure why a few are advocating MGW as one of the attacking three as Nuno clearly sees him as a central midfielder (which he is).

Not going to this one, train prices are outrageous and some brownie points with the wife won’t hurt.

I’d go with a pacy and fluid front three as Portman Rd is a huge pitch and we could seriously hurt them on the break.

Ruddy

Bennett Coady Boly

Doherty Saiss Neves Douglas

Costa Cav Jota

Subs - Norris, Batth, Vinagre, MGW, N’Diaye, Bonatini, Bright

Cav Bonatini Jota? Surely Costa hasn't done enough to force square pegs into round holes. Nuno has his way of playing he wont be panicking he wants Leo or Mir to link up play. Lets be honest here Cav has been brilliant at times lately but runs himself into the ground, Jota is not on his best form but it will return, Leo and Costa for me have been the weaker performances but still only a small improvement would have a different result.
Most of us want a striker brought in would be strange to not play either of our current strikers (albeit Mir is one for the future).
The wing backs, I would say that I'd stick with Douglas, although there is an argument for Vinagre as he gets forward faster and these will defend deep, possibly plan for Vinagre to come on for Douglas if we are pushing them back on the hour. Hopefully this trip will have rejeuvenated the lads.
N.B. Mick is a pragmatist and he will have a right go at not losing this, if we beat these I'll be chuffed but can see a draw and a meltdown.

Not sure why

I gave reasons why

Edit: Apparently not in this post. I don't think he will get many chances at CM this season and when he does, he does get bullied a bit. Looks hungry so I'd like to see him play.

I thinks its all a bit early for MGW, from what I've seen he's a good prospect but he is young (18 on Sat) and hasnt got his strength yet. Future looks good for him though, he may play in the Premier next year (or is that cancelled? :smarmy:)

So an early train for me in the morning and a 1 hour stop off in Peterborough so Wetherspoons breakfast in the Drapers Arms before heading to Ipswich

It was in a tin dogs bowl

I am sure there was a plate involved somewhere...

Anyway - it looked fucking grim.
