Iorfa and Hause

1v1 he's the best I've seen for a good while. You still see supposedly top class Premier League players who are poor in that aspect.

I'm really glad he's picked up after a poor spell at the start of the season. KJ resting him was spot on for those couple of games

Don't see whats so raw about him personally. He's literally never been beaten by a winger. Much improved going forwards this season as well.

Name one defender better than him in this league. Only one I can think of who could be his equal is George Friend.

He has been beaten a couple of times. Carayol got past him in huddersfields first attack on the 3rd. Importantly, Iorfa learned from it. & that's what he needs to keep doing.

Iorfa has massive potential, but hasn't even been playing full back for 2 seasons yet. Lets stop over zealously bigging him up FFS.
I remember watching his debut, & knew then there was a huge amount of potential. But it is still that, potential.

He's a better right back than any in this league. He's a freak.

The fact that he's at this standard after less than one season and still has plenty of room for improvement is the reason why so many of us are so excited about him.

It's not just potential, Bright is just potential as he hasn't really done anything at first team level as yet (but clearly is talented). Iorfa is already one of the best young defenders in the country, he's easily the best we've had since Lescott.

I remember watching the Fulham full-game highlights, and some of the comments made by the Fulham commentators about Iorfa.
They were tremendously impressed with his power and pace and the fact he had nullified their left-side attack. One of them said "you know he's tall enough to be a CB". :)

Iorfa started for England U21's in a 0-0 draw away to Bosnia. Did anybody see how he performed?

Good for him, he must be thrilled. He is going from strength to strength and will no doubt be a Premier League defender soon, I just hope it's with us.

Sounds like he did well.

you will see how well he did come january, Benik is filler as far as wolves are concerned the big stuff will come for Iorfa. watch this space.

It'll be the Summer when Iorfa goes, clubs won't spend £8m plus on a full back in Jan.

Agreed, I will be surprised if Dom is here in 12 months but he won't go in January.

Like I said to people months ago, getting stuck in this league = losing your best players all the time. Why anyone would aspire to that I don't know.

I disagree, for all the press bollocks features on strikers, the serious managers always look to their defence as the start of a good side.

Man city for example could afford to double his wages, stick him in the under 21's and leave him to improve for two seasons with the odd loan. If I was a premier league manager, he would be right up there on my radar, cause he will cost next to fuck all.

As I said on the WUM'ing thread in the Summer, the notion that young players will hang around and develop and improve together leading to eventual promotion in 2/3 years time is a fallacy when the smaller clubs in the PL now have so much money. 10 years ago Tyrone Mings would have had another season at Ipswich after only having one full season in the Championship, now he goes to a newly promoted clubs for £10?m

City have Sagna and Zabaleta, they won't waste money on another RB. Makes no sense.

Agreed, but they won't look to do that sort of deal in January. Neither will a club desperate to stay up throw that much around on a full back. In my view obviously

Correct, i typed City as an Ad Hoc example off the tip of my tongue, but Iorfa will probably attract a bid between 4 and 5 mill, whereas Afobe is already being talked of in terms of 14Mill.

4/5 mill to a premier league club next season is likely to be equilavlent (tongue in cheek) to the resturaunt managers wages.

I.E. In terms of a promising footballer, it's petty cash.

If we sold Iorfa for £5m I'd be raging. Double it and we'll start talking.
