General Wolves News

I noticed that. It was Jan 1975 wasn't it?

Not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere but England U21s won 3-1 against Andorra at Molineux yesterday. Goalscorers were Curtis Jones, Wilmot, and Hudson-Odoi (P).

Jones is going to be a top player. Real box to box capability.

Ornstein reporting that contract talks between Wolves and Traore are in "deadlock" and that he feels him not signing yet is why he isn't in the team.

Spiers has said that is coming from one source whereas another source say it isn't true. Also says both parties quite relaxed about the talks by sound of it

You can't blame Adama for not signing up to a new contract. He's spent more time on the bench than on the field this season. He has just broken in to the Spain squad and the longer he's out of the side, the more likely he is to miss out on the Euros etc.

Probably doesn't help when he sees his mate get a move to a massive club like Liverpool and move on to the next level. If Adama had moved in the summer, he'd have had his pick of some of the best club sides in the world, I reckon. Now he's stuck on the bench at a mid-table premier league side.

Obviously, just my opinion.

He’s not playing because Neto and Podence have been playing well in general. This has happened all the time when Nuno has been here, the likes of Cav, Costa and Jota have all had extended periods of time on the bench when someone else has been playing well.

If hes throwing his toys out re a new contract I'd be looking to move him on in the next window.

Don't get me wrong I think hes a great option to have and in an ideal world if everything is fine and rosey would prefer we keep him, but wouldn't be bending over backwards wage wise (some of the figures I've seen banded about) to keep a 3rd choice/3rd best /inconsistent winger (where would that leave Podence and Neto wage expectation wise). Try and cash out off last season's hype.

I don't think he seems like the kind of character to "throw his toys out of the pram". If anything, it's good that he's pissed off at not being in the side - shows appetite. If he doesn't feel what we are offering him is a fair representation of his worth to the squad, he's entitled to turn it down.

There's absolutely no urgency on it anyway. He's signed up to 2023 as it is.

These sort of stories always come out of International breaks. There's a Raul one every single time, it's just that nobody comments on here about them any more.
