General Wolves News

Back to the finance, it's the third in 6 months through Macquarie. It's quite curious considering we're not spending any money

The most likely need for cash is to pay the £54,868.000 transfer fee payments due by 31 May 2021 and the £46,169,000 transfer fee payments due by 31 May 2022. The accounts state we were owed £17,481,000 in transfer fees. On the face of it, the net transfer fee payments would be £83 million for the last two years.

The £17.5 million owed to Wolves doesn't seem to tally with the amount borrowed from Macquarrie. I guess the fee could have gone up after Jota made a set number of appearances or the fee has increased due to extended payment terms.

The other possible cause could be to make repayments to Fosun. At least that should be clearer from the next accounts than the outstanding transfer fees situation.

Could be that you're completely wrong but still persisting with the same thing over and over

It's not boring, honest

If it was due to transfer fees owed (presumably Silva and Semedo deals) - I thought they'd structured the outgoing deals in their favour so you'd assume this would have been factored in, in fact loads of people were praising the Jota deal and how it was structured, now we have borrowed against future revenue a few weeks after borrowing against the Jota money. I don't get what is going on at all.

It's almost like real world money isn't different to the nonsense world of football accounts.

The way stuff is written down with transfer fees, amortisation and everything else is in no way reflective of actual cash flow.

Love to see Pod running his mouth. Coady is obviously the leader but nice to have Podence as the lieutenant that can throw knives.

We really do have a special group of men, moreso than just a special group of players. Romanticizing a bit, admittedly, but they’re an easy bunch to get enthusiastic about, IMO.

Apparently a fire has broken out inside Molineux!

Hopefully it’s been dealt with quickly. There’s a few videos on Facebook showing smoke above the ground.
