Docking a tail is acceptable if its a working breed and likely to be worked. This has to be undertaken within a certain number of days from birth by a registered vet, that dog will never be shown. There's arguments for and against it, but a longer tail stub should always be left now that gives a dog full expression and it is no longer acceptable purely for aesthetic reasons.
Docking ears is a hangover from fighting pits, they cropped them to help stop them being ragged to ribbons. It also leaves the dog with a permanent aggressive expression and achieves zero health benefits outside of a dog pit. It will also be undertaken by a back St vet in this country and is painful with the ears being strapped for weeks to set in the 'desired' position. Despite what people tell you, it will have been done in this country.
In recent years the Instagram fashion for docked ears has become much more popular in this country, footballers getting on board with it. I think John Stones has his dogs ears cropped too.
