Football Trivia questions

Dion Dublin?
Another one not on my list! I shall have to look at upgrading my sources.

In fairness he initially didn't get one for Man Utd but they made a special plea to the PL and they handed one over. Back then it was strictly 10+ appearances or no dice.

Still one to go.

Did you get the list by text?
I was too distracted watching four TVs to check it properly myself.

Anyway, the one left:

- Not British
- Retired now
- Won it with a PL club that none of the others did
- Also played for a West Midlands club

Had to Google it. Would never have got that in a million years! I won’t spoil anyone’s fun by revealing it.

So it's a Chelsea player then? I can't think of one without cheating. Flo and Kharine were too early to have won PL medals

It is a Chelsea player. He wasn't there for very long.

I think you've missed another. Carlton Cole? Hits most your criteria above, but not for nationality

Nah, doesn't have a PL or SPL medal. I don't think so anyway!

2005/06 Chelsea (9 appearances), and 2015/16 for Celtic (4 appearances) - but you must be right that he fell short of the threshold for a medal both times actually.

Played 9 times and needed to play 10 times to qualify for a medal.

Man Utd seemed to beg for them for fringe players, so Dublin and Goram have one when they shouldn't by rights. Chelsea evidently didn't give a shit! :D

Anymore clues? Year Chelsea won title? (not going to Wikipedia the squad)

Jiri Jarosik according to the scottish footballer geek at work

Three near misses: Gordon Strachan, Mel Sterland and Rod Wallace all won the league at some point in Scotland and the final ever Football League Championship (when it was the top division in England) with Leeds in 1992. But not a Premier League.

This thread ought to be renamed.

“Dan Educates the Crew” *cue Always Sunny theme*

I looked at the Chelsea squad and still got it wrong (saw Scott Sinclair had been athelsea and Celtic and just presumed it was him)
