It takes a while to get into it to be honest, when I started playing again last year I didn't win an online game in about two months. I can hold my own now but I'm still not brilliant. You don't need to skill to win, just learn when to hold the ball and learn where your runners will be. I tend to play it back a lot of the time if you're crowded out as it can draw them out and open up spaces, through balls work very well this year. And finesse shots are the meta this year as well, low drivens get saved or go wide. When you're defending use jockey as much as possible and don't keep pressing tackle, you'll win the ball back more if you do that and learn to only tackle at the right moment.
