Farage Ltd and Similar Watch

Imagine strutting about with an overinflated sense of importance and trying to get onto an active military base in the middle of nowhereIMG_3686.jpeg

"Farage is up to his old tricks again - rather than spending the weekend in his constituency dealing with problems his constituents face, he's jetted half way round the world to try and go ashore in the Chagos Islands as part of a publicity stunt ignoring the fact that the UK government website makes it very very clear that it is just not possible to turn up and gain entry, and of course he's now feeling hard dome to and complaining about it.

No doubt his next move will be to try and put the costs of the trip onto the taxpayer by means of his MP expenses...

Hopefully, his constituents will see right through this and vote him out next time"...

"Reform’s leader Nigel Farage has skipped yet another meeting about Clacton’s £20m “Love Clacton” regeneration programme to schmooze donors 300 miles away 🍸

Instead of attending the Clacton Town Board to discuss a 10 year plan aimed at lifting one of the UK’s most deprived communities, Farage was reportedly at Hibou Blanc, an upmarket cocktail bar in Newcastle, meeting backers and potential Reform recruits 🥂

This makes it the TENTH time he has failed to show up to Town Board meetings since being elected in June 2024 📉

While Clacton waits for serious investment, its MP is networking over cocktails.

Clacton deserves an MP fighting for every penny of that £20m 💷 Not one chasing the next cheque 300 miles away.

He’s laughing at you, Clacton.
He’s not your friend.🙄"

If Reform win today, Labour and the Greens need to take responsibility for not working together to beat the bastards.
Wish I could say more here, but having been both sides of this fence I can tell you only one of these two parties has shown openness to work with the other. I'll leave you to guess which.

Who are you expecting to step aside, the current Government defending the seat, or the one with a small lead in the polls? Neither are realistic. If you want to be critical then if Starmer had let Burnham stand it wouldn't be close.
Well exactly, you can't get more "acting in one's own self interest" than that.

And he is. Far as I can make out he isn't corrupt.

You seem to want politicians to be utterly selfless. Not going to happen. If they were selfless, they wouldn't want to be politicians.

Do i?

Posters in this thread are criticising the Greens tactics as if they need to be whiter than white.

Oh and what happened with Mandelson was either corrupt or deeply incompetent.
