Farage Ltd and Similar Watch

Tories tried stop them 😂😂😂 Wasted millions to do fuck all other than whip up the anger amongst the racists.

On Prisons- Early release was happening if Labour won or not because some fuckwits destroyed the prison service and left it close to full. Tories had already released some and more were to follow.

The arguments are futile, it’s the same as the Trump situation. I’m not sure how this gets turned around when all sensible nuanced debates point on one direction but the tide still turns in the other.

It’s all pretty depressing stuff really.

Just the predictable immigration stuff. The boats are pouring across and getting worse under Labour. At least the Tories tried to stop them but Labour and the radical left blocked all attempts, Starmer is waving them across and emptying prisons to lock up anyone who posts on Facebook that something needs to be done whilst terrorist sympathisers scream abuse in the streets while police watch on.

For way too many people their politics begin and end there.
I would like to contribute to 'sensible nuanced debate' with a few gentle observations.
It would be interesting to know the names and positions of these 'radical left' people who 'blocked all attempts' to reduce illegal immigration to the UK during those 14 long years of tory and establishment misrule. Perhaps the radical left is responsible for sending one person to Rwanda at an estimated cost of GBP 700 million. By the way, he escaped in Rwanda. Where did that GBP 700 million actually go? Into the pockets of tory friends or those of the radical left?

I might have read it wrong, but I think Epsom's post was written from the perspective of your typical reformer, rather than being a representation of his view
Ah!

Apologies Eppy...I've been up most of the night so the caffeine is struggling to wake my brain up

My sarcasm detection module didn’t kick in until I read Epsom’s 2nd post.

He wants to be some sort of ambassador to the USA. On the one hand it would get him out of this country which would be a good thing as he is Reform. On the other there's no way you could give him the job as he'd be serving the opposite interests to the one he's been paid for.

Just tell him to tootle off to see his mate, but it won't be in any capacity of the UK government, either official or unofficial.

As an aside, I note that grifter is getting plenty of columns into the Torygraph at the moment.

I normally read the Torygraph front page each day and it’s turned into a comic. There’s being right leaning/siding/supporting with your views but some of the shite in there now is ridiculous. Banging the inflation risking budget drum today as it was mentioned in passing by the Bank of England yesterday, whereas what the Governor actually stated was that inflation would be under the target in the same timeframe. These are the jokers that thought the Truss budget was the work of economic geniuses and when you have the likes of Alistair Heath and David Frost commenting as experts in the field you know they’re pushing la la land opinions on their readership.

Heath is an absolute buffoon. When I worked in the City I read the Torygraph every day (crossword on the train and the Alex cartoon obvs...) and it was a decent institution. Now it is at best a pale imitation, and at worst, self-parody, and has lurched so far right it is actually quite astounding. And with that lurch, the standard of the writing has gone right down the toilet.

Still my favourite cryptic crossword, but I am not paying for that digitally.

The issue with newspapers in general is people stopped getting the actual news from them about 20 years ago so they've had to fill their pages with more and more opinion pieces which will follow the lead of their ownership. See the Washington Post and LA Times Presidential blowback as examples of it happening over there too.

Unless you are the Heil and still have some Diana stories to feature on pages 2,3,4,7,8,9,11,12,14, 22 and 23

Diana stuff has always been the preserve of the Express, not the Mail. Even in their hatstand world I think it's not really a thing now, 27 years on.
