Fa Cup Liverpool (H) 06/03/26 Build-Up and Match Thread (lightning striking twice?)

The line up doesn’t stand a chance of either creating anything or retaining possession

can only really see a comfortable Liverpool win once they increase the speed of what they do a bit. They haven’t created a good chance yet but you imagine they will work it out eventually.

But who knows, maybe we can conjure something up like in the past few home games
Yeah for all the deserved negativity, it's no different to the the last 2 home games and better than Arsenal.

Yep. Standard Edwards affair. Absolutely zero interest in doing anything other than getting to half time at 0-0.

Difference to Monday is we don’t have the players to bring off the bench to grab a goal, Rodrigo aside. Who’s he banking on bringing on to score… Hwang?!
Hwang winner confirmed

Mane has been poor tonight. Bellegrade has been anonymous. Mosquera`s distribution has been awful. Really missing Andre`s aggression. Besides that, we`re doing fine. Was concerned that we will lose Angel at the end of the season. I`m not anymore, much too lightweight.

Missed the first 20 minutes. Apparently Bellegarde is playing. Didn't realise! From what I've seen we're pretty poor.

Slot will throw Ekitike and/or Wirtz on after the hour if we’re still somehow at 0-0.

Play to a 0-0 tie at half take 1-2 chances in 2nd half and get a lucky break for a 1-0 win? That's some coaching tactics. Side note watching ESPN FC feed in US, never heard studio pundits actually wanting a team to win so badly. actually, begging them. F off

And there we go. Game over. We needed to score first. It was 2 for them going forward against our 4 defenders and they still managed to score.

Player of the season Santi Bueno with our 1st half chance

Edit: ahhh fuck

Jackson's cross caused the turnover with such a huge gap inside and behind him. He needed to do better rather than hit and hope

Shows how mentally weak we are that they’ve now just waltzed right through and scored again.

As soon as that cross was blocked it was obvious what would happen.

He's not a footballer at any so its hardly a shock

Jackson needed to put it on early, or then beat him. Not that shite.

Good hit from Robertson, it happens.

Rubbish defending. Think we’re in trouble now
