Ex-Wolf Watch

Hugo Bueno has scored one that is close and only been denied another by a brilliant save by Pickford.

As nice as it was you see goals like Bueno's every week.

The 10 on that video are each special in their own way.

Off the top of my head the only goal I can think of that someone in our current squad has scored which compares to any of those in the video is Bellegarde away at Forest. Probably the only time he's struck a long range shot cleanly in his life.

Anyone else noticed how we seemed to swap mark, a non wolves supporter writing thousands of posts on a team he doesn't support for the Celta guy. I'm assuming MateoAkaJose was taken.

We don't have anyone capable of scoring even one of those goals now.
One of the biggest differences between this season and last is we don't have Cunha scoring goals out of nothing. We haven't been a side that creates much since before Covid, but stripping out those that can offer a moment of brilliance and not replacing them has been the ultimate downfall.

There's a general perception in the media that we are going down because we've sold our best players, but if you look who they've gone to - Utd, City and Chelsea most recently, you aren't retaining them and neither do the likes of Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth or Palace. It's just a lazy screenshot to put up, Kilman gets thrown in there as well, but who wouldn't have taken that £40m? Incidentally the last league game he started was against us back at the start of January.

We all know this, but we spent north of £100m last Summer, we are going down not because of the players we have sold, but the players we have bought.

The new coach added to Nuno's team really doesn't rate him at all. The argument he had with Nuno was over the decision to bring Max on to help see out a game.
They stay up and the coaching team remains they will actively being trying to move him on and will make a huge loss on him

It isn’t just Cunha’s goals we miss, it’s his and RAN’s ability to carry the ball up the pitch we miss. With the two of them in the team we were able to get the ball forwards quickly, now apart from the very occasional ball to Tchatchoua we seem incapable of getting forwards either quickly or in any planned way.

I suppose Arias was supposed to fill that void. But he was shite.

I think RAN is the bigger miss, his ability to take a shit pass from sa or a cb and then progress the ball forward was great for us. All we do now is try and encourage Jackson to run and then lose the ball.

Almost erased him from my memory already! Weird how he came so highly rated yet was less effective in terms of output than Guedes which is quite some achievement. At least he looked like he gave a toss.

The Jackson thing is underplayed if anything. He is SO shit. I've never known PL defences give less of a shit about any of our players, they just leave him in miles of space knowing that he's never going to create.

Shout. I'd gone cold on him long before Solbakken, was when he started believing his "hard man" hype.
On the topic of Solbakken, I noticed his assistant when he was with us, Johan Lange, is sporting director at spurs. Which is going well.
