Ex-Wolf Watch

He doesn't look any different. Basically zero impact on the game and doesn't offer an out ball

So glad I don't have to watch him pretend to compete with defenders anymore.
His holdup being so poor is wild given his stature. He goes into aerial duels like Hwang (sorry, Hee-Chan).

Absolute chancer. Unbelievable that he gets another chance at this level.

I wish him nothing but the worst luck in the world.
I wish him him all the best and hope he gets an extension in the summer.

I also hope he then gives us a call and offers to buy what's left of the utter shite he waved through during his 2 transfer windows with us.

Apologies if this has been summarised before:
Djiga - Barely played, loaned out, by all accounts poor on his loan

Agbadou - Top quality for a couple of months, tailed off as the season went on, came back with a shit attitude, sold.

Munetsi - A trier whose first touch went further than most people can kick it, loaned out in under 12 months

Wolfe - Little time on the pitch, but when he is there, bad things happen. Behind a lwb who can't defend and creates little which is pretty damning

Lopez - not his signing, but on his watch. Completely unsuitable for PL football, loaned back to the club purchased from in under 6 months

Tchatchoua - the worst player to get a considerable number of games for the club in the PL era, has one discernible skill which he never uses. Manager chose to select a 34 RB, who wasn't our regular in League 1 10 years ago ahead of him

Krejci - A player who wasn't on our radar until we played him in a pre season friendly, then spent £26m on him. Our best centre half, but on the whole pretty average. Can make strange decisions like backing off in a way that Stephen Ward would blush at against MGW on Wednesday.

Arias - Poorly scouted for the PL where he is too slow and not skillful enough to compensate for it. Sold the window after he was signed.

Tolu - Probably the one that divides opinion the most. For me, he's a fair distance off being a PL centre forward. His heading which should be his biggest strength is a weakness. Benefits in the eyes of some for not being JSL imo. We can all agree not worth £23m though?

So of the 9 signings on his watch, 5 aren't here now, 2 are unqualified failures and 2 are upto individual interpretation, but neither an unqualified success.

I think a lot of what you’ve written is generous, too.

Since its been clear we're doomed, I'd like to have seen more of Wolfe. The little I've seen suggests he's not terrible as a LB.
Djiga appears to have played a bit more recently and from what I've read he's not been as much a liability, clearly not a Premier league player or even League 1 though.
I think most if not all on here would deem our last Summer window a complete disaster.

I like Tolu but think your points on him are accurate. He looks like the sort of player that may only get 8 goals in the league below too for me, and that should be used as a striker someone plays off our around, or who you throw up top when winning to play into when managing a game. Not your main striker you are needing to score.

He seems like a signing because we put a wage cap on.
