Ex-Wolf Watch

Conor Coady joins Charlton on loan

Dave Edwards returns to Shrewsbury as Assistant Head Coach to new Head Coach Gavin Cowan

I wouldn't call it loyalty that's keeping him there tbh. Going from £400k a week tax free back to his market rate is quite the motivation to stay

A couple of hours ago Nelson Semedo walked past me, about ten yards away.

That's the sort of anecdote you can't put a price on.

Yup. He'll earn enough over his career that he'll never have to work again, whether that's 100k a week at a European side where he could earn medals, or more in Saudi where he'll win fuck all.

He would easily fit into a City or Arsenal side.

It did seem like Ruben cared about football when he was with us, like wolves mattered to him and football in general mattered to him too.

I didn't think he'd be one for being so mercenary about the game and would have preferred to be playing in big European competitions

I don’t think Solbakken would have taken us down though. And if we’d kept him that month we’d have had to back him with signings more suited to his style.

Not to say he was doing well or that he didn’t even deserve to be sacked though. I’d say Saunders did make us worse though, we didn’t win any of his first ten!
I don't care that this was over a week ago, when I see Solbakken come up, I can only think of him punching through the dugout glass after Bakary conceded a 90'+ penalty that missed us drawing a match.

Ah, apparently happened in a first half in response to an equalizer after Sako played a bad pass. Details...

He'd have relegated us, just look at the direction of travel. He even lost to a none league side, granted he was already sacked, but he didn't know it. Sacking him was absolutely the right thing to do, employing the idiot who replaced him not. As much as Saunders only got the job because Morgan played golf with Souness, Solbakken did because he played with Molby.

I didn't say anything about should or shouldn't have sacked him. Just that he punched a fucking hole through the dugout.

Legend shit, that.

But had a managerial cv at a level that Saunders could only bullshit about.
