Ex-Wolf Watch

Raúl got Mexico's only goal in a 1-2 loss against Paraguay last night.

Since Nuno we've had loads of players who were/are playing way under their potential, including Raul and Adama, and who have since moved on and their form has improved no end.

I know it's unlikely, but if RE can get just Andre, Agbadou, JSL and Gomes back to near their best we have a chance.

But obviously that's easier said than done.

I wouldn't say that Adama has looked much better since leaving us, but he is certainly someone who would open up games in ways that we simply aren't able to right now.

Yeah, Adama has been worse for Fulham than he was for us, which wasn't a high bar to clear.

Still no creativity though, we'd have to hope we can Pulis our way to a series of 1-0's and get some creativity in during January.

Problem is, outside of the four you mention the squad isn't underperforming, needing a lift and direction it's exactly where it should be.

Del's point is that would still be better than our current options, which is hard to disagree with when directly comparing to Hwang.
That's true of so many.

Lots of us weren't massively impressed with Podence, but today's version would absolutely walk into this team. Then when you think of Vitinha who couldn't even get a game as he was definitely behind Neves and Moutinho at that point in his development.

Hell, you could argue for today's Cutrone...

Sure, but this is no kind of bar.

2014's Sam Ricketts would play every game for us at right back. 2003's Michael Oakes would easily be #1.
