Ex-Wolf Watch

They were stupid questions to be fair. This isn't the 90s, teams don't have a best XI anymore.
In fairness - when you have a squad as big as Forest it's hard to say for definite what the best starting 11 is . He's a tad prickly is our Nuno there .

He was like that in most Wolves press conferences if you listen to Spiers, it's just that we didn't film ours. He views the press with contempt, which is fine if you are doing well.

I liked Nunos attitude to the press, they're all clickbait numpties and just ask ridiculous questions, treat them with the contempt they deserve.

The quality of journalism, sports, or news is generally pretty poor these days. You have to look hard to find interesting, insightful, and well written pieces. It's mostly about being first and fastest, rather than the best. Upshot being you get idiots asking stupid questions so they can can add their hot take to a line of other hot takes.

It's very true that most of those press briefings are boring with repetitive questions all the time , and questions that Managers would prefer to avoid answering .
Back in Alex Ferguson's day you could get away with walking out when you liked , but that day is gone now .

You'd have to assume that part of their contract insists that they attend these briefings and answer questions - so a failure to do so or a reluctance to do won't go down well .

Agreed. Usually the same boring questions like "How do you feel?" after a win or a loss... pretty bleeding obvious response. The other one is finding ways to ask the same question and being surprised when they don't get an answer or they get rebuked.

Everyone is trained to give them nothing answers which is why they all sound the same. It's a PR exercise 99% of the time.

Even Gary was quick to sidestep questions about refereeing the week after we had that bit of craziness with Hobbs calling some ref a cunt.

Whilst mild disdain may work for some people, getting on the right side of the media can do wonders for your reputation and maybe even decisions on field that come your way.

Against Chelsea the ref could have gone completely for the home team but didn't. Makes you wonder if Gaz's increased popularity and media love in has something to do with it.

I think the positivity over the ref's performance is being overplayed.

Had we not won that game we'd be furious at his decision to not send off Gusto for a second booking, and for him disallowing a goal for nothing.
Caicedo and Gallagher got away without bookings for loads of cumulative fouls too.

He was ok I suppose but more a mark of how low the bar is set.

The disallowed goal was very strange, ok he blew the whistle well before we put it in the net but for what exactly?! If there was any foul (I don't think there was) then it was AGAINST Dawson.

He also let a lot go, didn't get fooled by Chelsea's falling over, and denied them a good shout at a penalty. He had a couple of poor decisions too but I'd say he generally favoured us and didn't have the usual big team bias.

FIFA must have changed their rules, used to be the case that if you were registered with a club after the window closed and then left on a free, you couldn't sign for anyone else until the next window.

Baz is still getting occasional games for Lech Poznan (3rd) and he can't run any more, it's not a very good league.

Think the Polish transfer window is still open so he can sign.
