I walked into Burton town centre a few weeks ago on a Saturday mid-morning. It was surprisingly dead then too, certainly from how I used to remember it.Just been into town, completely dead, very few people about, walked from the bus station to big Sainsbury’s for an interview, looks like Ron Flowers shop has gone as well, empty shop where it used to be.

I’ve an interview for decathlon as a bike technician tomorrow.
Sainsbury’s is closer, would have better benefits I think, bar the early start for 6am deliveries, and the late finishes delivering up to 11pm
Would prefer the decathlon job, get the old brain working again on how to fix random broken bikes
