Earworms

Ohhhh Satus Quo, one of my early favourite bands in the early-mid 70's, but then they descended to stuff like that and Living on an Island and other shite....broke my heart.

SAHB did a great version of Delila. I absolutely love early Pink Floyd, but my younger brother goes for the later stuff that I find boring.

I’m enjoying the TOTP 1990 re-runs. There’s some good stuff in there along with the shite.
There was a show on the other night, can't remember which channel cslled Sounds of the 70's featuring prog rock and other alternative stuff like early Pink Floyd (which was crap) and some of the weirder stuff like SAHB and Captain Beefheart, enjoyed it

Love that version of Delilah.....I'm with your brother regarding PF, early stuff for me is wishy washy psychedelia.

I could do a top 5 Floyd tracks:

1 Saucerful of Secrets - Ummagumma
2 Brain Damage - Dark Side of the Moon
3 Julia Dream - various compilation albums
4 Cirrus Minor - More
5 Bike - Piper at the Gates of Dawn

On another day I would include Interstellar Overdrive and Astronomy Domine, but tried to keep it to one song per album

After Wish You Were Here their music became one long yawn.

Judas Priests 'Breaking The Law' had it in my mind for almost 2 days, dunno why, not listened to it for ages and not aware I've been bad.......maybe I should just put on British Steel full bore to get it out of my system

After Syd Barrett left IMO.

What ? No Great Gig in the Sky ? One of the best pieces of music ever written by anybody

Probably my least favourite track on my most favourite album when I bought it.
Having seen Sam Brown perform it live on tv I changed my mind though

Money is my least favourite on that album. Great gig in the sky is great, but not as good as Brain Damage and I was keeping it to one track per album.

Had this all day in my head, but only the first four lines over and over again

Lucky you, Paul. I've got David Cassidy "Breaking up is hard to do" stuck in mine. A song I absolutely hate.

A great song. Overkill did a superb* cover of it.

*if you like that sort of thing. It’s on Horroscope.

I was listening to the Overkill cover! Hence the earworm!!

Magnificent taste. Overkill are one the most under rated bands out there. Seen them so many times, including ending up on one of their live videos doing a PA dive at the Astoria on the years of decay tour.

After binge watching Ted Lasso S2, "Hello" - Martin Solveig & Dragonette.

Woke up with the GoGos 'We Got The Beat' in my head, can't shift it. No idea why it's there, haven't heard it in years......its nearly 40 years old ffs

Edit its over 40 years old..... Where's my life gone?
