Early Bird

Unsure whether to renew. Not enjoying the football at the moment. Middlesbrough was probably the last time we played well at home.

Also the atmosphere is shocking, allowing you to hear more of the numpties.

Will probably end up doing it with the hope we win the league playing free flowing football.

With Kenny binning it off I am in a bit of a quandary. I will probably renew, but it is unlikely I will renew the seat for mini as she has missed quite a few games this year and the idea of commitment seems to be passing her by with other things to take her interest. We have discussed it and she is in agreement that maybe just the odd home game is better for her just at the moment.

This leaves me sat on my own. Not sure I want that with my current seat.

Switch to the South Bank, Paddy. Apart from the one numpty and the "moo'er" it's a pretty good area. Sit (stand) with us and have a good old sing

I grew up on the South Bank. I could live with that, I suppose...

Much to ponder.

Well there's Steve, Sam and me. ParkinsLeftFoot makes appearances as does LemonJelly, Lycan and my lad so you will be around people you know. Have a think on it mate

And Im just below you Paddy, If you don't want to move far come sit down with us.

That is a thought. Kelly was thinking of moving up to my seats but I think that is unlikely as the seat she has in the Steve Bull has been in her family since the stand went up, pretty much

Yeah, was trying to persuade Kelly to join us but she loves her seat too much and gets to sit about two rows in front of Robert Plant

South Bank has it faults but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else to be honest.

I remember it being brilliant for years when I was in there. I changed because both Kenny and I got so pissed off with a lot of pillocks around us. We had amazing seats in there too. A couple of seasons in the North Bank is suggesting it really isn't a lot better at the Bushbury end.

Like I say, much to ponder.

Currently debating whether to or not, especially as in just over a month I qualify for 'old bugger' ticket prices.

Still as its the travel costs from down here that do for me & unless I retire still not able to do midweek games not sure that I will be able to get to many more than the last couple of seasons. Tickets will still be cheaper on single game purchase assuming that they keep them the same as this year, which unless we go on a 15 game winning run & make the Premier league they are likely to.

If the North Bank is emptying next year I may have to make an emotional return to the BWU...

I loved my seat up there tbf.

The £23 U12's ticket (not new) in the Family Enclosure is very good value. The problem in there though is that if you shout anything everyone turns around and stares at you.

This! I used to love the North Bank, but it has lost all sense of fun, which is why I go to watch football!

The South Bank is generally good fun!

Ignore them Paddy. You're being groomed by The Geordies..

Never got my head around the Merchandise Cash Rewards.

I see that the £30 comes in installments over the season which is a bugger, as a lump sum at the beginning would have gone nicely towards buying the new shirt.

Can it be used towards purchasing home/away tickets or is it solely for use in the tatshop?

It can't be used for tickets, there's a separate ticket cash system which has been all but pointless for STHs. It's good that you can save it up and use it to renew again in 12 months time.

Annoying about the merch cash instalments. Hadn't spotted that as I was going to use it to get the away shirt.

As discussed with Darlo on many occasions, I dream of getting to the stage of being able to afford a ST one day.
Hoping to get my mortgage payments down to a level that would make this possible, & soon.
The views from the upper NB are superb, & is probably where I'd pick right now.
Can totally see the atmosphere point others make though.
£00 is tempting, I must be almost at the stage of being able to manage it!
