Cardiff City (A) 30.11.2018 7.45pm

That was fucking shocking.

We have taken 1 point out of 18, including against two sides we would otherwise have thought were absolutely beneath us.

I don't know how we shouldn't be angry at that.

Aye. It would be fine if we were playing well and just not getting results but we aren't.

If this form persist, he will gone in Jan ,Fosun will not fuck around I think im right in saying Nuno has not managed a club for longer than 2 season ? , another awful game

People saying we’ve been worked out - we played completely different tonight to how we usually play. Nuno wasn’t stubborn at all tonight, in fact had we played our normal game we would have won.

Up until 55/60 mins we had this game in the bag. Had to get Traore and Costa off and didn’t.

That was disappointing, to put it mildly. Got exactly what we expected from Cardiff and simply couldn't deal with it. Not quite sure where we go from here

Dreadful performance from start to finish. Make no mistake we will be dragged into a relegation battle of this continues.

I've put up a verdict for our respective angers, either at the team or at people who are angry at the team.

That's spot on. Nothing to do with the midfield tonight or being worked out.

We've lost to shithouse keeping and defending. We've created enough chances to win but haven't.

It's not good enough for sure but those saying the mamager's under pressure need a fucking good slap.

I don't think we created that much to be honest.

Earlier in thread you said we pre-planned to play more direct football. That was also false, we played the ball to feet without being to hold it up or without runners from midfield. Please, enlighten me, how did we play differently tonight.

Do people not watch the game? What did we get worked out on?

We created next to nothing, our midfield two were pushed back leaving three brain dead morons up front receiving long balls. We couldn't win a second ball if our lives depended on it. Inside forwards and full backs are forced out wide because even if they fluke a good cross we'll have no cunt in the box. And if Raul does manage to drag a first touch out of his arse then he must have a really bad cold as no fucker gets within twenty yards of him. Absolutely shocking performance.

We've been worked out, teams know how to play against us and we can't / won't change

Yep. Nuno's a tit if he thinks we can keep playing the same formation every game. Needs to wise up and we need to toughen up. Squad looking threadbare as well. I'm depressed.

Genuinely interested because I had a couple of beers watching it and might have missed them, but what would you say we created? I can’t remember a fashionable chance.

This is what I saw too, I can't see how anybody saw it differently. We did not attack with conviction and nor did we at any point look in control. Cardiff didn't play that well but they endeavoured and ground at a result. They had other chances too.

Well we didn't threaten them and we didn't win the midfield bar for 10 minutes...

We weren't very good across the board and I didn't agree with being direct as out front 3 were technically very poor tonight. As YW says, to say we've been worked out just isn't right. We didnt lose a midfield battle, we lost a set piece battle.

Neither team were good enough in open play. I thought we created good chances when MGW and Jota were on but our finishing was very poor.

For the first 55 minute I agree, I thought it was very poor. When Jota, Cav and MGW were on we were much further forward (both Cav and MGW should do better) and Ruben kept spannering stuff over the bar. We had chances to put crosses in but our final ball lacked and passing wise we were much sharper.

The long ball direct crap I agree with every word you say.

Of course hes under some pressure ,we just lost to two bottom teams with surprisingly bad performances in both games
some of the players are the ones who need a fucking good slap !!

Cav should score his chance, Neves should do better with several of his strikes. MGW misses a header and a shot at the back post, Raul spanners a shot when all he has to do is take the ball down and lay Adama in.

I'm sure there are more.

We definitely need to change things. And not just randomly rotating the inside forwards. The midfield two are pushed too far back and have been ineffective for two months. That needs to become a three for me. Tbh I'd genuinely be looking at pushing coady into a bona fide dm role with neves and mgw ahead of him as a genuine 4, 6 and 8. I know coady and vinagre aren't the ideal orthodox full backs but something needs changing. And fuck we need forward in January. Bonatini isn't good enough, but Raul, whilst much better, still isn't better enough. He's played like harder looking Andy Keogh for most of the season

I'm not sure we need to be that drastic. I think we need to drop our IF's further back and play them as midfielders as they did last season. That means Jota and Cav in for me. Overload other teams and play between the lines. It's what our success in the Champ was based on and frustratingly we have ditched that. Doherty doesn't like it and at one point where Costa and Traore were in the same 5 yards Doc was livid.

It isn't working so we need to go back to what we know,
