Burton build up...

Rest Saturday back for Boro two weeks on Friday.

Looks pretty standard. The reaction of the body would be the same whether it was torn or sprained. The lack of bruising is positive which suggests a lack of a tear, but it’s early days and that will Be more apparent tomorrow morning if there is to be any.

We'll be arriving around noon (The Drummer and his Dad) in Wolverhampton.
Where do you guys meet up these days? Still in the Western?
And where do you go afterwards?
And finally, anyone fancy a Curry in the evening?

Hi Roy. Will be getting into Wolves about 11-50 so will PM you when I know where we are going

Don't forget we have to look after our Portuguese guests. I think London is the place pre-game. I can take them to the Western for educational purposes later if I am allowed by she who must be obeyed.

That's good for me Paddy

Jotas injury will continue to swell, it will look terrible in a few days. It all depends how much is torn, if its just a few fibers then he could maybe play a part towards the end but my gut feeling is hes done for the season. Can't really recall the challenge or thinking it was bad not sure if he rolled it as he fell perhaps?

Wouldn't it be bruising up if he'd torn something?

I had a horrific tear years ago and I have a photo, no bruising initially but 3 days later it was black.Bad foot.jpg I dont think Jota's is quite as bad and he will have far better treatment than me and is also a lot younger but still it doesn't look good.

Then 3 days later it looked like this...Foot 3 days later.jpg

It was a pretty innocuous challenge, barely a foul frankly - just one of those things where something got caught at a precise and unfortunate angle.

I thought it was a complete accident and not even a foul.

The London is diagonally opposite the Hogs Head on the junction between Stafford Street, Wulfruna Street and Broad Street - The Royal London. Opens at 11.

Love that map

The Moon Under Water specialises in real ale?????

Hilarious

A bit like Harry Kane's against Bournemouth? He's out until May by all accounts and might miss the World Cup.

I've got shit ankles and I was always twisting/spraining the bloody things when I was younger. And more often than not, they'd swell up like Jota's on that photo, but I'd be fine again in a few weeks.

It's impossible to say from a photo taken a few hours after the game - we won't know the severity of the injury until he's been properly assessed. Hopefully it's just a few weeks and he's back after the international break.

But we scored all 3 goals and won convincingly without him - sounds like Costa picked a good time to look a bit more like his old self.

My team for Saturday:

Ruddy; Bennett, Coady, Boly; Doherty, Neves, Saiss, Douglas; Costa, Afobe, Cavaleiro

REALLY looking forward to the day out. Especially after last night's result.

Nothing official as such but Matt Doherty thinks he has just 'rolled' it so hopefully will only miss Sat then be fit after the international break."

Same team we had once Jota went off for me but Afobe needs to start the game better. His workrate and movement in the 1st half was appalling, was actually surprised he wasn't subbed and fair play to him for finally putting some effort into it in the 2nd half.

Yep, the team picks itself for Saturday really.

Hopefully Jota isn't out for too long but as long as he is fit and raring to go for pre-season that's the main thing. Costa/Cav/Afobe/MGW/Leo can see us through.

I was only thinking the other day how fortunate we have been with injuries this season! I don't know if it is down to luck or the new coaching staff.
