Yeah, he’s been a nuisance, had some nice moments and helped the team function but not actually had a brilliant game himself.

Only thing I question, as I’m enjoying how we have approached this game, is if we can maintain this intensity
He's at least made Dunk have to work a little, which is more than he had to do last season.

I don't think Fabio had a particularly good half but he moves like a genuine center forward should and that has created spaces for Cunha, Neto, etc. from which they can fuck up a chance.

Yeah, he almost goes for the wrong corner to try and outsmart the keeper.

Apart from the scoreline that was an enjoyable 1st half. A really entertaining, fast and furious game of football. It looked for the 1st 15 minutes or so that they were going to be all over us and you feared the worst once they scored. But we responded well and since the goal there really wasn't too much between the sides and with the chances we created it really should be 1-1.

He’s excellent running off the shoulder of a defender and finding space if you watch him when he’s in the box - pulls off his man quite easily. It’s just when we can get the ball through to him.

I love people saying ‘keep playing like this and we’ll be fun’ (not on here). There’s nothing suggest we’re suddenly going to learn how to shoot. We’ll be lucky to get 30 goals this season

Steele looked liked he'd left a big gap on the side Fabio went for, if he'd lifted it he'd have beat the keeper as it was only a desperate outstretched leg that stopped it. Agree with the poster above who said he should've gone round him though, Steele was in no man's land and there was no defending getting particularly close to Silva.

If he was a couple of goals into the season I reckon he nails it but like last week just seemed a bit too keen.

Think you’re spot on Mark, same as Jack. He’s not low on confidence just composure.

I'd rather try and keep creating the chances to miss rather than accept being shit at finishing so try to play in the most conservative way possible.

Lage’s problem was we did this for three games and then almost immediately reverted back to 3ATB and being conservative. O’Neil needs to stick with it.

No excuse but think Fabio thinks he's off on that near post chance

Ok for us to say 'keep playing like this', but sooner or later managers get desperate for points, however they come.

Goals and points are pretty important in football, regardless of how some on this thread are downplaying them

I get the parallels, they're bleeding obvious, but I think we've mostly played better in these three halves than we did in the mythical Lage trio of games.
