I’d forgotten how shit it is when you know your team is shit, going down and knowing you’ve got not much to look forward to.
Instead of listening to the radio or trying to find a stream I think I’ll spend Saturday afternoon in tidying the garden.
Noticed on Sunday a few STH didn’t either turn up or sold their ticket back and it was taken up.

Some round by me broke their record for actually watching the match. A couple must have been in their seats for almost 10 minutes before sacking it off.

I'm currently working out how many pints I need to have before the match on Saturday to take the edge of it, but not get me barred from entering the ground.

There were quite a few by me too...

It's the point I've been making for a couple of years. Saying "we sell out the maximum number of season tickets, we always get 30,000+ for every home game, there's a waiting list, so we can charge what we want" is fine up until the point it isn't.

A lot of fans are extremely fickle in terms of attendance and everyone is feeling some kind of financial pinch right now unless you're very wealthy with few ongoing commitments. You could easily see 10,000 lopped off the gate inside months if we go down, and by then you've annoyed your fixed customer base and completely fucked up the pricing model.

The consequence of appointing a rank amateur in Clark. No feel for the club, the area or the sport, and awful communication skills.

My season tickets remained unsold by the club

If we go down and a general malaise sets in the crowds will plummet. Midweek games especially in the championship won’t attract many fair weather fans.

Average gate in 2016/17 was around 21,500.

I bring it up as an example quite a lot, but on 25 March 2014 we got 17,041 against Colchester (allowances made for midweek against a team who only brought 211 with them). When we'd been promoted, we got 30,110 against Rotherham on 18 April.

You have a hardcore - many of whom are fucked off with the way the club speak to them/about them - and then tens of thousands of others who'll only pay to see us when we're doing well.

None of my group are going to Brighton, trains are on strike, my dad's at a wedding and a mate is recovering from an operation, we've tried giving them away to friends and family given they have three season tickets at their disposal but we can't shift them.

None of us are bothered about the prospect of missing it. Definitely not going to Leeds and I'm 50/50 on Arsenal due to the late kick off. Used to bounce out of bed on the morning of a game but I've lost interest, I've looked at my phone more in game during the last 6 months than I have the previous six years.

I've noticed an increase in the number of emails I'm getting about Corporate tickets too.

This is definitely a thing, phone calls as well. The last time I bought a corporate ticket was against Sheff Wed under Lambert

It’s that lad again who I posted about. He’s theb had the audacity to criticise someone and say they’re full of shit. Bloody numpty

Wholesale changes are not required. Just a few tweaks to at least give us a fighting chance of keeping the score respectable, sad as that sounds. Semedo for Jonny, of course. Jonny can unfortunately go fuck himself. Lost all credibility as a footballer and person for me. Boubacar for Moutinho, who bless him tried last Sunday but father time is calling the shots now for him. Finally, we play Nunes in midfield! Easy! We still lose but probably by a couple of goals, rather than another thrashing, and who knows, like at Palace, we may even score! Oh and finally, any of the Nancy boys drop their heads, they get pulled for young uns off the bench!

I liked the statement by Collins afterwards . At his very young age it could have been argued that he had no need to talk to the media , and even if he did he could easily have taken the route of saying the same old things that modern day footballers tend to say .
Instead he went for the jugular - he was ashamed , that it was a shambles etc . It could clearly be interpreted as a go at both the present Management , the players and the club - and yet it didn't stop him .
I liked that - there's a captain there . Definitely a leader .

Jonny has given the impression that he doesn`t want to be here for a while now, can`t see that it would be just down to a lack of form or a deteriation in his ability. Somebody needs to sit down with him and have a chat. If he doesn`t want to be here, let him go. Moutinho shouldn`t be playing as often as he is, I think a lot of us was glad he signed a new deal but thought it would be as a backup/support role.
