Good fight shown in the second half. Brentford should have been out of sight at half time, really. In the end disappointed with a point and should probably have won it (although Nelson missed an absolute sitter for them, so maybe not).

Criminal from Edwards to have not got Tolu on earlier. The game was absolutely crying out for him.

7 wins gets us to 38… 🤪

Now level with the Villa relegation total as we pull clear of the "worst team ever" tag with a fair bit to spare.

Obviously, this side of the wedding feast at Cana we are still doomed, but it would be nice to pick off a couple of targets doing so. Next up, Mick's 25 point total.

I am beginning to feel confident we will finish above Burnley at least.

We were awful until we scored just before half time then looked much better 2nd half. Cracking goal from Armstrong, his first touch was excellent to put himself into position. Lovely Tolu header for the equaliser. Good to see both our strikers score and but for the post and crossbar respectively both could have notched a brace. Thought super sub Rodrigo was going to do it again at the end and would have been lovely to get another late winner.

Would have taken a point before the game and given where we were at 2-0, happy enough. Draws us level with Villa's 17 points. We're going down but hopefully not in disgrace now.

All of the bottom 7 teams drew this weekend.

We've seen the best and worst of this squad tonight.

Shambolic at the back in the first half but some real guile in the second half to claim a very unlikely but well deserved point.

Very surprised by the improvement in the second half, helped largely by Angel Gomes's best display in a Wolves shirt.

Fair play, lads - great to see some character and pride in the shirt because I thought it was going to be 4 or 5 nil after their 2nd went in.

Thought AA played really well seeing as he was so isolated.

Happy with a point overall.

Off topic :

It's been said before but Vitor Pereira and Teti must have banked a few million in what was a criminal transfer window!!

Coming above Burnley, win an away game and finish strong to get the club back to feeling a bit positive again is the aim now.

Was critical of him in the match day thread but he put in his most notable performance I felt after that. So far play to him for sticking it to me.

Much better second half pity we couldn't get the winner. Brentford are still a horrible, whiney, shithousing team even now Frank has gone aren't they.
After a shakey start thought Angel was good, we really needed a player on that can actually pass the ball to a Wolves player. If we go 4 atb, him with Gomes and Andre could boss a midfield.
Thought Brentford got away loads of niggly fouls (as usual) but the ref was happy to give quite a few against us, the yellows against Armstrong and Angel were laughable.

Armstrong and Tolu should both be burying the chances that hit the woodwork but overall I’m pleased with a point after going two down.
Comical defending first half and at last Edwards saw sense and gave Mane a rest. Made the difference to how we performed in the second half as Angel was excellent on the ball.
I wonder if he’s asking took much of Mane, not just with the minutes but with how he’s used. Bellegarde seems further forward than him in the last games I’ve watched and that shouldn’t be the case. He should be picking up possession in pockets of space but he’s running himself ragged.

We needed to win 7 of the last 8 so that was our game where we didn't need to win ;)

Battling performance. We have patches of minor quality scattered around the field. Thought J Gomes looked up for it tonight, to his credit. Think we should enjoy these last few games he has with us. By contrast, the less said about our wingbacks, the better. Nice cameo by R Gomes at the end, showing the inept Tchat how to show a bit of hustle. And good to see AA getting on the score sheet as a reward for the hard yards he puts in.

A little break now before playing West Ham in their ridiculous stadium.

What a strange game. I didn’t think we started that badly, but there were so many wtf moments in the first half.

just about deserved the point really, but a shame at 2-2 we didn’t go for it a bit more

Oh yeah, Atwell is still a cunt

Conflicted on last night. For a while, when everything was going wrong earlier this season, I was saying that the only thing I've ever asked for is a team I could be proud of. In isolation, fighting back from 2-0 away from home to get a point is definitely something to be proud of. There has to come a point where you ask for something more than what we're seeing though.

It seems like every game we're sent out with little to no plan of what to do with the ball. It's not even like we're falling into the old trap that so many awful teams fall into of hoofing the ball at someone who can't hold it up, we're not even doing that. It seems like when we get the ball we're just doing our best to lose it in a way which doesn't immediately expose us. Fill our own box full of as many bodies as possible, stay in the game and hope something falls to us. Except then you have idiots like Hugo Bueno & Jackson Tchatchoua who can't even do that right and all of a sudden we're 2-0 down. Again.

I joked when we conceded that at least that might mean that we have to abandon the 'plan' and have an attempt at actually playing the sport we're supposed to be competing in but that's exactly what happened. They can do it against good opposition, they've proven it on more than one occasion. Unfortunately we're usually multiple goals down by the time that they're released from the shackles of this turgid mindset they seem to be sent out with every week. The excuse that we have to play this way because we're so out of our depth at this level wears a little thin when you see us create chances at the rate we did last night once the onus was on us to attack.

We've got almost a full month off now. That's great news for players like Mateus Mané who has been ran into the ground, but also for the coaching staff who have an opportunity to get these guys on the training ground and try to instill some kind of attacking identity into this group. I expect us to come out and give these last 7 games a really good go and give us a tiny hint of optimism ahead of what I expect to be a pretty grim summer. 7 more games of 5-4-1 and I'm not sure I can have any other opinion other than we need to get rid of this coaching group, regardless of how many draws we shit house out of those fixtures.

Why can’t we start games as we played the 2nd half. All this ‘keep it all 0-0 till halftime’ rubbish is stupid given the frailties of our defence.
Unlucky not to have nicked it though. As for Atwell !! Pulled us up for the slightest touch and yet let them get away with everything.
