Bellend commentators

No club is permanently breaking the top 6 monopoly without severe cash injection. City have broken the rules that are frankly a bag of bollocks. I think the intial idea behind them was noble and to save clubs from a Portsmouth situation. However it’s just created a sterile know your place scenario.
End of the day city have a lot answer for however them breaking the mold 14 years ago should be seen as a good thing but it’s not because they used a different rule book.

No-one is making you do a single one of those things, you box headed fuck. Why are you commuting between Norwich and London at stupid o'clock all the time you fucking maniac.

And you didn't walk away from TNT Sports, they didn't renew your contract.

And you said you "walked away" from broadcasting live sport because you valued your time with your family more. Well now you're spending far less time with them while doing this nonsense, how's that working out for you.

The biggest risk he’s ever taken in his life is probably getting on a train late at night wearing a Submariner.

I don't like the bloke particularly, but he seems to be struggling, not sure in the motivation of hating on him.

I don’t get it but don’t really follow much of what he gets up to either. Why’s he struggling do you think, is it a mental health thing?

Seems to be so much of this ‘high performance’ type stuff getting churned out. All fast cars and watches, Rob Moore, Carl Hartley, Nico Leonard, Charlie Walker and a zillion others. Very easy to feel some envy but they can’t all be living the lives they present.

I suppose Humphrey is going to right up there for shooting down if he’s ticking all the successful/great career/beautiful wife/perfect kids boxes, especially if he’s lecturing other people about how to achieve the same. Would 100% be a prime candidate for presenting as such but falling apart within himself which would be very sad if that were the case.

As I say I don’t follow him or know why he winds people up so much. Maybe he brings it on himself, arrogance is always a really ugly trait if that’s it but 🤷‍♂️

For me it's that he's a bit of a snake oil salesman. His 'philosophy' has no foundation in any sort of research and seems highly likely to negatively impact your mental health. I wish him no ill but he's a nobhead.

He is also desperate to get it introduced into schools, which would be an awful outcome as nothing he says means anything, he doesn't appear to be a contented man in the slightest and all his shite regularly contradicts itself from one day to the next.

If he were just shilling terrible books to LinkedIn idiots (who deserve everything they get) then it'd be far less offensive.

'Growth mindset' was very big in mainstream primary about 10 years ago. Vile American stuff. Very similar to the crap he talks. These things come round again though so I'm sure he'll get an opportunity to make some bank. Head teachers tend to lap this kind of shit up.

We had growth mindset in secondary, too. It's moved on to emotional intelligence now; kids are fucked up from covid lockdowns, social media, crappy homelives, so we have to be their psychologists as well as teachers.

"WINE" and "PACE"

Honestly, I think this stuff is just the right human thing to do, but there will always be someone trying to make a few quid out of "consulting" on it.

Shearer saying it doesn’t feel right that Barnes goal was disallowed, it also doesn’t feel right that the guy who scored the goal is aided by the ball hitting his hand to control it.

Also I find the 'wording' odd, officials saying it was accidental but coynts as handball cos it lead to a goal.

If the ball hits the centre of his midriff then yep maybe the ball will drop kindly at his feet.
If it hits the side of his midriff and no hand like he was suggesting there’s no way the ball lands kindly at his feet. Only other explanation is it hit his forearm and dropped to his feet.
You can argue it’s not conclusive enough to overturn fair enough.

I sympathise with those trying to make a judgement on that handball. And moving the line will make no difference to offside adjudications, obviously. And overall, without the slightest shadow of a doubt, I’d bin VAR. I hate it. It’s not even close how bad it is.
