Bellend commentators

Dear Mr Darke,

"Boly" does not rhyme with "goalie". He's not exactly a new player either.

Stick to boxing, mate.

Love Dan xx

McManatwat annoying me tonight, just for a change. So bitter that Atletico knocked out Liverpool.

Yes Steve, they set up predominantly defensively. They haven't done badly out of it over the last 6-7 years though have they and it's not like it's full on Pulis crap, so belt up a bit, eh.

He's not on his own. About 20 minutes into the game they are advertising tomorrow's with "it'll be nothing like this"

Owen Hargreaves channelling his inner Kenny Jacket with this "power" shtick.

Had to mute the game tonight unsurprisingly. Pair of complete cretins.

Pop this in here

"Paul Ince on David Silva’s proposed statue outside the Etihad “I don’t see Dennis Bergkamp or Thierry Henry with a statue outside the Emirates, it’s a bit over the top”

Paul Ince has never been to the Emirates has he

Le Tissier, Nicholas and Thompson have been ditched by sky sports. Cant say ill miss the first two all especially Le Tissier arrogance

Not a single loss there.

Le Tissier is an absolute heid the baw on Twitter. Needs help.

I'd rather have Thommo than Merson. Le Tiss was always alright at summing up after a game but he came across as liking the sound of his own voice too much in everything else. Incidentally I saw one of Gary Neville's Sky programs where he sits and watches/talks about ex players careers and Le Tissier was Smuggy McSmug on there talking about himself.

None of those are a great loss - Thompson is the most bearable of them but I've never understood the need to have such ridiculously obvious bias in a pundit. Le Tiss has the same problem but he's just a bellend on top of that.

Emotional return for Rodney Marsh....?

Scott Minto gone too which is more surprising, I thought he was good.

To add you can fully understand why Sky Sports have had a Soccer Saturday shake up, it was becoming very much a “job for the boys club”

Might have mentioned it the other week when the news came out, I'm 40 next year and I never saw Phil Thompson play, he's not just from a generation or two back now, he's a relic. You can see why they might have hired him in the mid 90s, but not why you'd retain him a quarter of a century later. He doesn't have any relevance to a huge section of their viewers. Fine if he were really good at his job but he's not, he's competent at absolute most.

Le Tissier has been patched because he's a deranged lunatic and it was always slightly odd that on a show primarily featuring English football, Charlie Nicholas was involved as he didn't even play for an English club after 1988 and wasn't particularly a success at the one team he did play for.
