Suspended: None

Wolves:

A tough game but one we should target to get at least a point from with us at home. Villa have struggled after CL games so we shouldn't show them too much respect. Hopefully Toti is fit enough to start.

.................................. Sa

............ Agbadou - Bueno - Toti

Semedo - Doyle - Andre - Bellegarde - RAN

.................... Guedes - Cunha

I mean, it's horrendous in CM and attack, but it's about the best team we can put out.

I'd go with that formation. Dawson for Bueno, Traore for Bellegarde if we can get an hour out of him, Hwang for Guedes as he's more of a (shit) 9. 2 of those 3 changes probably makes no difference though

I do find it entertaining in a macabre way how shit we are and what they'll find to shit up next.

I mean, imagine if we were a competently run club with a decent (but not good) head coach and still in 17th/18th place. It'd be far more depressing because there's less excuses, they'd just be a shit side. At least it's clear where all the problems stem from currently.

Can't see us getting anything from the game especially with Strand Larsen and Gomes missing. With the other fixtures we are most likely going to have some catching up to do again.

I genuinely tried to cobble together an 11 that looked balanced on paper and that wouldn't get overrun all over the park, but I just couldn't do it. Feel for Vitor.

The absolute state of how Fosun, Jeff, Hobbs & Co have allowed the first team squad to get to this is gross negligence.

Vitor presser.

- JSL confirmed out for tomorrow & likely the next game too.
- Priority still a defender and centre mid before window closes.
- Asked about changing system due to JSL's injury - answer was a clear... "No". (The guy is completely inflexible, which is a huge red flag)
- respects Villa & their players/manager, but more concerned about looking at ourselves rather than them.
- asked about shape and whether we'd stick with 2 in midfield tomorrow. Basically confirmed it will be Andre + A.N other. Mentioned Tommy Doyle. Said he's a "very good player" but added "in the end, looks more of an 8 to 10 rather than a 6", and said "to change this, it takes time". Also mentioned JRB and said "he's a player that can play in different roles but never experienced to play with two in the middle which is very different". So fuck knows what he'll do tomorrow.
- Bouba returned from injury and got flu this week, so won't be involved.

No one asked him about Lemina's situation. Or if anything was close transfer wise. Or if we'll be looking to add a forward now JSL is out. Or about Forbs. Or if Toti is fit enough to start. Genuinely, what's the point in these muppets going if they're not going to press the manager to answer questions? And have no idea what team he's gonna put out tomorrow. Lots of square pegs in round holes by the sounds of it.

Well that all sounds pretty gloomy.

Sounds like we'll be playing 2 from Andre, Doyle and Bellegarde in CM so will get bullied and out muscled. We'll have no focal point up front and who knows how our defence will set up. For a tiny, tiny bit of positive news I'm down to hoping Toti is fit to start.

He is now only 'hopeful' of new signings after telling everyone he was 'very, very confident' after Arsenal.

He could be lying and we may go 3-5-2 with the team in the first post, but not a fan of him saying he won't change formation and then effectively telling everyone that Doyle and Bellegarde can't play as central midfielders in a two, when surely one of them has to play?

From hearing him speak. This is my guess:

Sa
Semedo Doherty Santi Agbadou RAN
Andre Doyle
Guedes Hwang Cunha
We're getting humped. And I'm already thinking Vitor has lost the dressing room. He's been here a month.

Agreed, but he would be leaving himself open to massive criticism if he plays Doyle or Bellegarde in a two and we lose, because he literally explained why it won't work in that press conference.

So, he's either really daft, lying about not changing the formation or Lemina/Traore will play (even though Traore is ill right now).

What dressing room? There's nobody in there! We need a few signings and quick

TBF I don't think he's got many suitable options. This squad is weak, depleted and not good enough.

I've not been massively impressed with Vitor - particularly recently - but I think it's difficult to judge him with the shit he has to work with combined with the lack of support he's getting from the top of the club.

I'm not sure he'll start Toti. I think he will go with a midfield two of Andre and JRB - maybe R. Gomes at LWB and RAN further forward (or the other way around) -
.................................. Sa

............ Doc - Bueno - Agbadou

Semedo - Andre - Bellegarde - Gomes

.................... Guedes - Cunha - RAN

Toti to come on and he moves Agbadou across ro RCB. I'd go (if fit):

.................................. Sa

............ Agbadou - Dawson - Toti

Semedo - Andre - Bellegarde - Gomes

............ Guedes - Cunha - RAN

I'm choosing JRB and Guedes simply because... Neither should be starting a Premier league game for us imo. He may try Doyle just in front of the midfield two and in behind Cunha and Guedes based on the press conference.

I don't think he goes with JRB in a midfield two. That would be some swing & miss from Vitor after he literally said in the presser he's "never played in a midfield two before". Ideally it would have been Mario (but #headsgone) or Bouba (but #flu) so it's a straight choice out of Doyle or JRB and he spoke about Doyle first. Just feel like he'll go that way. Who knows, maybe he'll play all three of them but then that goes against his comments on not changing the system!

Hey - if we have no fucking clue what he's going to do, at least we know Villa won't either! Every cloud and all that...
