You can say what you like about managers, tactics, formations etc, but the players have to do the basics with a level of competence. Most of our team are incapable of that. We are a team with too many very poor players. They can't play simple passes consistently, they can't mark, they can't defend and they make appalling decisions most of the time. The players need to fall under the same level of scrutiny as the managers, and my scrutiny says most of them are simply not very good.

That was what I was saying before O'Neil was sacked (sacked fair enough but there was/is mitigating circumstances).
