You get a couple of kudos points back after liking shed seven.
dEUS too. Nice.

Yet again, this thread has highlighted my lack of ownership of recent music. Never realised how bad it was until I started doing these! I just don't get much opportunities to seek out new music these days. I really need people to make me some best of CD's of the last 5 years :)

Mogwai - 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong
Green River - This Town
Portishead - Humming
Zero 7 - In Time
Alabama Shakes - I Ain't The Same
The Blossoms - Good, Good Lovin'
Bon Iver - For Emma

Another go:

Willy Mason - We Can Be Strong

Gaslight Anthem - Here Comes My Man
Coldplay - What If
Green Day - Deadbeat Holiday
Queen - It's Late
Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
Jet - Lazy Gun
Beta Band - Simple
Sigur Ros - O Fridur

I read that Gaslight Anthem song as "Here Comes My Nan". I'd actually quite like to hear a song called that.

She's Electric - Oasis
Waterfall - The Stone Roses
Like I Can - Sam Smith
Are You In Love With A Notion? - The Courteeners
Erase And Rewind - The Cardigans
Regret - New Order
The Sun Always Shines On TV - A-Ha

Digital Love - Daft Punk
Rap God - Eminem

He played at Moseley Folk fest a few years ago - it was awesome when he played that.

I was there mate. Was that the year Junip headlined? 4 pint Gallon of UBU accompanied his set very nicely!

Not a fan of the festival though. Way too pretentious. People were more interested in their Waitrose falalfel and crab meat picnics than they were the music.

:icon_lol:

Maybe The Pixies should have gone along those lines too.

Hmmm.

My Nan playlist:

Gaslight Anthem - Here Comes My Nan
Pixies - Here Comes Your Nan
Michael Jackson - Nan in the Mirror
Elton John - Rocket Nan
Tammy Wynette - Stand By Your Nan
Percy Sledge - When a Nan loves a Woman
Shania Twain - Nan! I Feel Like A Woman
Black Sabbath - Iron Nan (could be a description or a command)
David Bowie - The Nan Who Sold the World
Lonnie Donegan - My old Nan's a dustman

Yep, that was the one. I see your point about the atmosphere - I find it's much better during the last few sets but generally, the people there are total snobs. Any artist who was playing one of the earlier slots was pretty much guaranteed a lousy reception. Shame as they often have a decent line up and I love the 4 pint pitchers of Purity.

People were actually getting annoyed by people standing up in front of them and blocking the view from their Cath Kidson picnic blankets!

Tell me about it. One stupid bitch refused to stand up even when the headliners were on, and kept having a go at people who were standing on the corners of her blanket. Yet they were less than 20 feet from the front of the stage. Cretins.
