Okay, so I am REALLY sad and have been tracking each individual goal we've scored, and also logging the assist, pre-assist, and pre-pre-assist :D I just thought I'd share it to be honest!

(Disclaimer - it's down to my interpretation, some goals obviously didn't have assists or pre-assists etc, and most didn't go further back than that anyway).

All in all we have 89 goals this season I believe!

I've kept totals for all the involvements - this is the top five for each section:

Player totals: (* for someone who either joined or left half-way through season)

And most useful IMO, goal contributions per 90 minutes (the total minutes for each player is a bit sketchy as some I had to add manually ie. Europa qualifiers!)

Leading the way you obviously have Raul, and Jota pretty close behind who has played less minutes overall.

Think pretty interesting is Cutrone - for the minutes he was being given he was doing well considering. Factor in games like City away where he should score, Everton away where he were he also was denied by good saves - he wasn't doing badly at all - just needed the minutes which he unfortunately wasn't going to get here.

Traore also heavily involved, and Neto and Podence's figures are very encouraging and should have a big impact the more minutes they get!

Would say it also highlights we need another midfielder who can create, I would say someone in a similar position to Moutinho rather than a number ten type (just my opinion though).

I have way too much time on my hands lately...

Oh - and a chart for minutes played vs contributions per 90

Which gives more a visual (Podence is higher because I forgot I was giving assists for winning penalties)

I don't think Cutrone would have done that well here. It's a very small sample size to garner anything from that information either way but he didn't suit our style and his goal record hasn't been very good back in Italy. 4 goals in 17. I think we have done well to structure a deal where we will end up getting our money back for him.

it is a very small sample, but I still think he is a good player that with time would have been a good options. He's hit some form in Italy more recently too. Agree we have done well to get the money back through the deal we have done.

Only 9 starts for Fiorentina though, all his goals have come since the restart.

Good stuff Louie.

Brilliant. If I didn't have a deadline I'd cheerfully bin my client work to read this.

That's superb.

Excellent work Louis.

Neto and Vinagre stick out given how little game time they've had this season. Neto even more considered he's been VARed twice.
