Sunderland (A) Build-up and match thread

Gibbs White starts, along with Miranda and Norris. Surprised to see Miranda given a game ahead of Hause.

The Official, Final TWF Player of the Season vote

Had to go Neves. If Jota or Bonatini had kept up their pre-christmas form, they'd have had a shout. Coady has improved hugely but Neves has still had a better season for me.

    The Afobe question

I think we'll sign one of Afobe or Bonatini as they are known quantities and that's a good thing when attempting the kind of recruitment we will in the summer. Although it paid off spectacularly this year, it might not next year. I hope and think it will, but there are no guarantees. Thus...

Sheff Wed (H) We are having a party build up

Again I'd start Gibbs-White. I suspect Vini won't be here next year, or we'd have seen him at least on the bench against Bolton. If he's gonna be sticking around, I'd play him too. I expect neither of these to happen. It'll be the same team. Batth will see out the season at CB. Which I'm fine...

We are the Champions (by a very very long way)

We've deserved this. How will I entertain myself until August?

    Notlob (A) Buildup 21/4/18

It's not about resting people though, it's about giving game time to those who might benefit from it. I expect we'll play the same team, with Afobe for Cav, but I'd like to see MGW and Vini as they could benefit from serious game time.

    Notlob (A) Buildup 21/4/18

Given how few senior games they have though, any competitive senior game time must be good for Vinagre and MGW? Maybe less so any others. For that reason I'd play Vini for Douglas and MGW for Cav. Easily strong enough to win but some game time for those who could benefit from it. Personally I'd...

Wolves 2 - Blues 0 the second gear verdict thread

Bit of a strange game I thought. We never left first gear, which created an iffy moment or two in the first half, but the only moment of real danger was Ruddy's excellent save. Second half was more in control, still the odd misplaced pass but Birmingham weren't threatening. Costa was our...

    Wolves - Blues Matchday Thread

Actually I think Birmingham have done okay tbh. They don't have any real quality so just got to sit in and try to nick it in a dangerous area, which they've done. Great Ruddy double save. They've been physical but *mostly* legal. That Davis challenge was not good though. At all. We've been...

    Birmingham (H) build up

I'd definitely still be tempted to give MGW a start. Same with Vinagre. Hause would require either benching or moving Boly though so whilst I would be tempted to do this now, I don't see it happening. It's a shame Boly clearly prefers that side as I think Hause is our best defender after him.

Was Neves' goal the greatest ever Wolves goal?

I loved the SEB goal too, but fair play Ruben. Magical. Winner for me.

I'm not sure I've recovered from that yet.

Wolves 2-0 Derby: Ruben's Wonderstrike Verdict Thread

Game was kinda meh. We won. What a fucking goal. Fucking outrageous. Absolute filth. Maybe the opposition should be allowed 12 players. Fucking ridiculous. Possibly the best goal I've ever seen. Bring on the Prem.

    Derby (H) build up

I'd have Afobe between Costa and Cav as Jota was well off in his natural position against Cardiff. Rest of the team picks itself.

    Leo Bonatini

The fact that we are lacking in a permanent senior striker (not sure Mir counts) does count in Leo's favour. At least he's a known quantity and I think we will sign one of him or Afobe for that reason, but Benik has to be in the box seat atm.

    Cardiff 0 - 1 Wolves: The Verdict

I'm not sure how having next to no attacking threat for 55 minutes can have been a plan?

    Cardiff 0 - 1 Wolves: The Verdict

After the storm, a few thoughts. Ruddy was excellent. Fair play after the flak he has taken from a few, including me. Given his recent form, I don't think he could have complained if he'd been dropped, but after that he can have a free pass for the rest of the season. His penalty save wasn't a...
