In no particular order:
Neves vs Derby
Henry vs Bolton
Jota vs Cardiff
Neves vs Sheff Utd
Neves vs Sheff Wed
Honorable mentions for Sako and Jacobs too, and to the other contenders I've forgotten!
A really nice goal. Won it back well with high pressing, sharp passing from Watt, Graham with a lovely pass to release Nya who crossed for BAS to tap in.
Oops. 1-1. Big mistake from Otasowie, giving the ball away right on the edge of the area.
Who was it who actually got sent off against us in the Championship a couple of years back for similar? I think it was Costa (in the season before we were promoted) who was long gone, ball ahead of him and racing onto it, some... Bournemouth(?) player literally just kicked him and deservedly got...
That Mings tackle annoyed me so much. It was reckless, it was dangerous. This wasn't a cynical nudge off balance or a tiny clip of an ankle. Think the only reason it wasn't a straight red is because in that scenario, the refs are already thinking of it only in the context of a cynical foul...
Haha, thought I'd take a stroll down memory lane too. This is from literally the first entry from the month I clicked on (Feb 2017, incredible times, I still remember facepalming through that awful game against Birmingham):
Crazy to think I absolutely love those two now. How times change...
I think even then it only really happened because Moutinho was picking himself up from taking one right in the midriff and hobbling back. Was only out of position for a few seconds, otherwise he'd've been in the right place to prevent Propper just strolling onto that.
It is a nice thought, but I don't think we will. I'm happy to be enjoying the brilliance of this squad, the solid performances, loving that we are fully deserving of the current 5th spot and even considering questions like "Can we be in the top 4?" rather than the kinda questions we were...
I used to think he was useless on his first few Sky appearances too, but I actually found him pretty endearing last night. I liked the way he chatted excitedly to Adama and Nuno. Light-hearted, didn't take himself too seriously, didn't roll out a bunch of tired cliches. There are faaaar worse...
Yeah, I'd like to see the 2nd half version too. And yep, I know it is all meaningless, don't worry I don't read anything into such stats/tables/whatever, just an interesting quirk.
Someone on r/soccer has put together a table of if all games had finished at HT so far this season. We obviously all know we've been strong late in games this season, but we're one of two really noticeable position changes (along with Villa).
Blast from the past with Jordan Graham playing tonight as part of the front two. He just won a penalty but had it saved.
BAS put Wolves ahead early on - spun a defender well, raced away and kept his composure to put it in the far corner.
It was borderline red, and that's not because I don't like the face-stamping Mings. He's been booked for a standard cynical wipe-out, but it was more than that - was reckless, the speed and force he hit Adama with. If standing legs, etc, etc.
Also thought Donk was brilliant yesterday. I really...
Salah looked offside too. Where was the 3-minute long messing-with-lines-and-armpits check? Reminiscent of Sigurdsson vs us - cleared really quickly despite looking off.
