    Brighton (A) 26/10: Build-Up & Match Thread

How about taking his and the club's word on it? He says he's injured and they say he's injured. Why immediately assume that the player himself and assorted medical and coaching staff are all colluding in a big lie 'because our gormless prick of a manager has backed himself into a corner and...

    Brighton (A) 26/10: Build-Up & Match Thread

Except you didn't say it was 'a theory' or 'an opinion' which was why I asked for proof. So presumably you 'believe' he pulled Johnstone to one side and asked him to pretend he was injured because he was going to play him but he's now changed his mind because he might get abuse if he does. Or...

No. Any proof at all will do.

So a player can’t get injured and need time to recover?

    Wolves 0-1 Bournemouth: Verdict Thread

All too predictably a laughing emoji from Johnny 75. You're going to have to explain the joke to me because I can't see what's funny.

    Wolves 0-1 Bournemouth: Verdict Thread

Which isn’t as easy as it sounds when your two forwards are a half fit Hwang and a fatigued Sarabia. All too often a move forward would break down due to one or the other. Of course he’s still got a lot to learn but he’s dealing with very challenging circumstances at the moment.

    Wolves 0-1 Bournemouth: Verdict Thread

But isn’t that structure an attempt to deal with the fact that there were only two senior forwards available. It wouldn’t have been how he chose to play.

    Wolves 0-1 Bournemouth: Verdict Thread

The quote was from yesterdays press conference by the looks of it. Presumably he's been asked a question and that was part of the answer. It didn't sound like an excuse but more like a fairly obvious statement of the facts.

    Fulham 3-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I trust O'Neil's judgment considerably more than yours. He obviously thought Doc was a better bet than either a broken Johnny or a not quite fit enough Bueno.

    Fulham 3-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Quite possibly. I was really just making an observation as to why Bueno wasn't used.

    Fulham 3-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

If he's coming back from injury surely the idea would have been to give him the last 10 minutes or so. Slowly get him back up to match fitness. The assessment would have been that 60 minutes (or thereabouts) was too long for him in the circumstances and as we were playing (a fluid) 3 at the...

[Carabao Cup 2nd Round] Wolves 5-0 Blackpool: Verdict Thread

He'd had a pretty good game before his injury. Hope it's not too bad. He's got ability but seems to lack some self belief at times.

[FA Cup 3rd Rnd] Liverpool 2-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Thought he had another good game on Saturday. His confidence is growing which is great to see. There was someone who, bizarrely, tried to blame him for Villa's equaliser. Well it was his tackle and winning of the ball that set in motion the circumstances surrounding the Guedes equaliser...

    General Wolves News

Can't help feeling Sellars is something of a fall guy for Jeff Shi's failings. Problem is we'll never know exactly how the decision making structure operated and quite what he can be blamed for. Certainly not the ridiculous idea that it was him secretly calling the shots behind Steve Davis'...

    Wolves 0-2 Arsenal: Verdict Thread

Have to agree with this. Not only recognising Joe Hodge but telling him he had a good game against Leeds must have done his confidence a real boost. It feels like the sort of leadership we've been missing under Lage.
