Well we know that Chinese businesses have been told to stop large investment in overseas assets. Particularly football clubs. So Fosun won't invest any more money. But Shi also seemingly won't rubber stamp any large scale spending in transfer windows unless we sell players.

It makes perfect sense if you understand Jeff Shi doesn't give a shit about the club and won't put in any money for transfers.
