Agreed. I've had to deal with a middle eastern home office, and i found you firstly needed someone on the inside, and secondly you had to grease a palm to get it sorted.
Maybe they will up the figure with potential earnings? As in bonus's etc.
Seems mad really that a guy who is a specialist in his job gets rejected for a work permit. He's not coming to pick fruit (not that there is anything wrong with that), he is not going to be signing on and getting a house...
Thanks for that Kenny. I was about to ask about the process. Looks like he should scrape in on the wages side. Not sure about the current club bit because of the minutes played. I'm sure they will swing it somehow.
As Tim Vickery said at the end though. Costa might have a big point to prove to those teams that didn't come in, and an ex manager who stuck it to him. Shame we've played them once already! I'm excited about what he can bring to us. Aggression, passion, fight and experience.
His team are shocking in fairness. That never helps. What i'm trying to say (maybe badly) is 33 isn't an age when you go out to pasture, particularly if you've kept your self in shape.
We already are with this. It's big news in the football world. We all have to hope he's still reasonably fit, and he hasn't lost his edge.
To be fair he's only 33. Vardy is 35 and still doing it. Granted Vardy is PL match fit, but Costa doesn't look out of shape in any way. As someone else said...
Him and Adama are players that the opposition will have to have a plan for. That in itself is a good thing. I just think it will be a no brainer to bring him in. It'll be a real cheap option and it'll take the pressure off Raul.
Showed a video of a gym at his house 1/2 hr ago on IG. I'm guessing he's kept himself in some sort of shape. As WH says it's the type of striker we need for that last 30 mins of a game. Give the opposing defenders the shits..
He must have some fitness. This is dated August 2022.
