Not really, his time finished 7th. But there's a chance the car failed him rather than a mistake the way he appeared to be talking to the team, and you can't plan for that.
They haven't mentioned yet, but the regulations require a 4 hour gap between quali and race. I wonder if they soon call this the last session to keep that gap until 3.30pm...
You might as well take it from the last finished/full session in the weekend. And if you don't have one then bit odd to be racing at all but I guess championship order is about the only option (though I'd reverse it for the entertainment)

In isolation, I actually think the ban sounds fair especially with some of the above info about behind the scenes. Not in isolation, we do let quite a lot of other stuff fly so I'd encourage more banning, albeit with sufficient temporary bans first to give people a chance. Something has changed...
