    Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

I can list more than a dozen European matches I’ve been to as a neutral over the last ten years. Some where the tourist fan is supposed to be in high number. At only one, Barca, have I seen more than a handful of other tourists (it was late July) - the numbers, even in Rome, Madrid, Berlin...

    Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

When ST sales were at a max, the ability to buy match tickets for the non-ST holder was more difficult and so demand exceeded supply for many games allowing a premium to be charged and achieved. As ST numbers reduce, the availability on match day tickets increases and so they don't become such...

    Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

Massive difference. Everyone can be appalled at the increases, whether you have a ST or not but only ST holders know what it 'feels' like to renew or not renew. If you don't have a ST you can't understand totally the attachment it can have. As many have said, it's about the social, emotional...

    Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

I think all of these points are correct and really valid but for many, the position of your seat and those you sit with are very important, Highly unlikely we could ever get six as well placed seats all together again [until a new stand was built] if we didn't renew

I have a mate at about 3000. Good yardstick will be if he's offered one. He won't take it if he is as he joined because it was free and he lived in the area at the time. He now has other financial commitments and lives four hours away.

    Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

If the number not renewing is 4,000 (for example) I really doubt that there are more than a few hundred 'new' potential season ticket holders that will join, especially if the rates are even higher than the renewal rates. I think at least this will prove that the fabled waiting list is a fallacy...

    Wolves History Thread

Dave Woodfield had left before I first went and to be honest, although my first games were earlier 75/76 and 76/77 are the first real memories. Feel cheated that although I must have seen them, the Hegan, Bailey, Dougan, Munro, Wagstaffe recollections are weak. Got to know Doog and Waggy a...

TBF I always said I would likely renew (x3) but also was also strongly against the price rises. To be clear, I will always support Wolves but hate this commercial commodity that football has become. The sooner Jeff and Fosun are gone the better, even though I appreciate ‘be careful what you...

More likely called into see someone about his son (in the academy) and said hello to a few whilst there. Lives in Tettenhall so not an especially long journey! Edit: just read article and not just the headline. Says as much.

We don’t necessarily have to do it in that order though surely.

    The Cricket Thread

We all know that cricket makes up/changes the rules fairly regularly on qualification status, but given Corey Anderson is playing for them the residency period can't be that long. Edit: just checked - he moved there in 2020 and qualified in 2023. I get residency status if you move with your...

I have no idea of his history, family or cricket wise, but suggested to my son that nepotism must be playing a part. To be picked as a wicket keeper, not be fit enough to carry out this role over 20 overs, lose the gloves but be retained in the side with an average as low as his…

    The Summer 2024 Transfer Thread.

I assume given his career to date (40-50 league games at every permanent club more or less) this means his agent [I'm guessing] is probably trying to move him on again? Senior career* Years Team Apps (Gls) 2010–2013 Lorient II 31 (0) 2012–2013 Lorient 14 (0) 2013–2015 Marseille...

Wharton looked a class above anything else in midfield during his cameo. Available for every pass, moved the ball quickly [often one touch] and had the confidence on debut to be telling established players where he wanted it and pointing out available options to them. Obviously you can't hear...

Happy to bet we won’t average 31,000 next season. For years people have been saying you can’t get a ticket - you can at virtually every game. Next season will see half the games at least mid/late 20s

I agree that withholding money by not renewing is definitely the most effective action but I'm sure that Jeff will be be ruffled if he comes in for abuse and I hope that it will filter through to Fosun HQ as well.

You seem to like picking up on my posts - no idea why but given the likes I have to my previously ridiculed post [by yourself a couple of days ago], I seems others don't have such an issue with my literacy/grammar. I'm sorry I don't have the written intelligence that you require, but what did I...
