    The Film Thread

Summer of Soul on Disney Plus, about a black music festival that happened around the time of Woodstock, really enjoyed it. The Social Dilemma on Netflix - about social media and how it's affecting society. Really quite scary, especially the impact it's having on children.

All sports have a shelf live, I bet the Romans thought chariot racing would be the most popular one forever. Apparently the richest sportsman in history by far, adjusted for inflation, was a famous chariot racer from back then. It's strange people in thousands of years will look back on...

There's nothing to explain really - I like football as it is, the arguments for changing the rules or format of it always seems to be along the lines of, another sport (tennis, rugby, cricket etc etc) does it and it works, so football should follow suit, completely missing the point that...

I'll be sad to see him go, our squad will be weaker without him. That being said he doesn't deserve to be one the highest paid players here and if he's running down his contract, there isn't really much we can do other than cash in.

Despite our defence being rock solid of late, of all the positions I'd still pick CB first. Think switching to a back 4 would get alot more out of our attacking players, Trincao would be alot better on the right side of a 3 behind a striker, imo.

I'm going to play devils advocate a bit here. I've seen alot of people say that Jeff was caught out with his lying re FFP. Is it possible he wasn't lying, but rather referenced FFP as a constraint on big spending due to the risks of that approach demonstrated by clubs like Everton? I understand...

Must admit I wanted Coady gone a while ago, he's really proved me wrong. I'm delighted he has though!

It probably was more then that it is now as car ownership was very low. Even if it wasn't, the population of the whole country was lower. Per head of the population alot more people actually went to the match back then. All I was saying is that must have been quite exciting.

Average yeah, it was regularly around 50k though, which is quite amazing considering there were around 100k less people in Wolverhampton at the time
