Bellend commentators

Confirmed I think what we've all thought for some time. The referees don't officiate on what's actually happened, but on what they want to have happened. Also confirms the conscious versus unconscious bias argument (or cheating as I prefer to call it) for Clattenburg at least.

Unbelievable that he said those things, more than once, on air.

He could have just made an innocent mistake as he was looking through a crowded box from the other side of the pitch.

I generally root for incompetence rather than insidious reasons.

If that's in reply to the Clattenburg comments, you have the wrong end of the stick. He wasn't commenting on a particular decision (so no mis-viewing [if that's a word] it), he was suggesting that the referee gave a couple of free kicks to the home side in order to quieten a crowd that was getting riled. The suggestion was that they needn't be warranted but were to diffuse the situation.

That's not incompetence, that's choosing to give the home side a decision regardless of what is really warranted. He suggested the referee 'cheat'.

Nope I was talking about giving us offside from the corner against Newcastle.

Lumes currently rivalling Martin Keown for most rhetorical "Isn't it's" in 30 minutes.

There’s plenty of evidence of that out there, some of it very recently. For some reason someone in a high place at the BBC has chosen to ignore all of it.

I can't see him lasting long as the BBC are going through a rough time as it is

If I "loath" (sic) him why would I pay £25.00 (not sure why they need the .00) to hear him wibble on?

Tickets £25 per person includes Chicken Tikka Masala served with Fragrant Rice, Mini Poppadoms & Mango Chutney.

Oh, there's fragrant rice and mango chutney. Well I'm sold.

Also, "former legend" implies he was one and now he isn't :D

I mean "England" is doing some heavy lifting too. Less than 15 minutes I think under Schteve?

I wouldn’t listen to that cunt if they were paying me £25.00.

Excellent stuff from Nigel Spackman tonight who informed the nation that Franz Beckenbauer is still heavily involved at Bayern. Far be it for me to doubt an experienced broadcaster but I don't think he is.

Looking forward to seeing Gerd Muller tear Villa a new arsehole

The replies under this :D

I mean it was awful, but what a ludicrous claim (not even humanly possible) and also I once watched Alex McLeish's Aston Villa vs Tony Pulis' Stoke on Boxing Day with an incredible hangover, having to sit with people I didn't like and pretending to be nice to them, eating the worst Christmas Dinner I've ever tasted. That was definitely worse, straight off the bat.

His absolute hatred of United under Ten Haag overrides any sense of reason he may (or more likely doesn't) have.

2009/10 season was very poor, likes of Hull, Burnley in the league combined with Pulis Stoke and us playing some grim stuff.
