Don't think he'll last long if he keeps picking the same shape and crap players. If Edwards did have an agreement about staying in charge next year surely it was with Jeff and not Fosun.
It's his arrogance that has got him. If he'd kept his mouth shut I think the media probably give him a much easier ride and Fosun don't pull the trigger.
But he had a seemingly genuine belief that once everyone heard his reasoned arguments about the technicality of relegation he'd convince...
Looks like he was working at Club Med? Unlikely to be someone with any football knowledge but I guess we'll have to see.
Hopefully it doesn't take the heat off Fosun.
On top of everything, the performative culpability of coming out and saying they got transfers wrong mid-season is just awful management. Essentially telling a group of new employees they're useless when you know there's nothing you can do about it in the short term. I mean, they are useless...
Was there even that much more effort? I don't think that was the problem under Vitor really.
I'd be surprised if Edwards is still here by June. When we lose 7+ on the bounce he'll be the only scapegoat.
Not particularly thrilled by the appointment but have been a bit surprised by the media flack he's taking for making the move.
Is it not weirdly commendable that he wants to come to a club he has an affinity for even though it's a stupid career move?
And whatever nonsense he's spouted about...
Sounds like Doyle had established himself in their first team now and has played a part in their uptick of form. Not sure he'll ever be premier league level but should be useful if we do go down.
