The boy is a 16 year-old centre-back, that was too easy for him in a wide position on the field, without a doubt. His movement out of defence afterwards was nice but he won the ball back at a canter.
What a turgid game of football this is. We might be winning but we have been poor. Why do we transition so slowly from defence to midfield when we have options to go forward?
We seem to be set up in a fashion that expected to be up against a defensive minded team and they weren't and we couldn't adjust it. We should have broken quicker and got the ball out wide earlier. It's all been a bit 'safe' at the minute. We can't continue in that manner as Palace can and...
We look poor, do we not? That's not saying we are a poor team, just that the first half was a poor performance, which it was. Now, a good performance was the second half versus Spurs, as a barometer, I think you'll agree with the general consensus that that was a poor first half. Fucking...
Very much agreed. Why are we transitioning so slowly? It must be tactical. It's almost as though the players believe the opposition are set up defensively (when they are not) and as such have to be patient. It makes zero sense.
I have. I usually get right into the FM's as I buy them and get a feeling of intrigue and want to win. I have to say that just starting this new version is boring. Too much stuff to do and it's quite tiresome. Thought I'd start a quick save with Ajax to get to grips with it (like Mark I prefer...
After going in 1-0 down at half-time that is some performance in the 2nd, as good as I can remember. In my opinion Moutinho brought it all together. I'm not saying Dendoncker played poorly but Joao just turned it up to a different level. Even more impressive was after getting it to 1-1 we didn't...
To be fair, you'd be asking a lot to get a foul there. Once a player has blatantly lost possession by his own inability then an accidental clash after is rarely given.
I know Spurs are pretty much a class above us but our midfield was totally bypassed in that first half. It was non-existent, offensively or defensively.
Mitrovic had and created chances too. I'm not shouting Raul down here, I think he did OK, as did Mitrovic. I'd prefer Raul but by no means do I think he's a better player. He suits our system more but make no mistake about it, Mitrovic can be a very effective forward.
