UEFA Nations League & Euro 2020 Qualification

Pretty much all Portugal at the moment, Dutch very little attacking threat. Bruno Fernandes appears to be channeling Adlene Guedioura too

Great save Rui (offside anyway but he wasn't to know)

It was a great stop. Holland have come into it more now

And how infuriating is Guedes to watch?

Much more competitive second half. Guedes doing a lot of good defensive work but little in an attacking sense.

Then he scores!

Goal Guedes. Rubbish by Cillessen though.

Goal. Guedes (!), keeper should Do better?

Cillessen should definitely be keeping it out.

Looks like no Jota again, he won't take Ronaldo off.

But here comes João

Ireland take the lead against Gibralta with one of the scruffiest goals you're likely to see, ending with a massive deflection from a shot going wide

Hen nearly gives away a goal for wales with a massive flap at a punch, and bale misses a pretty easy chance - now Hungary take the lead, 1-0...

Probably a bit harsh on wales, but they’ve not been that good.

Very poor result that. Right up against it now and no Nations League fall back unlike Scotland.

Hen looked ropey off any cross, as per. Never going to learn, he's 33 in January. Danny Ward is a far superior keeper but gets no club football, that was a stinker of a move for him.

Also 12 points out of 12 for Norn Iron. Granted, they haven't played Germany or Netherlands yet, but Michael O'Neill has brought them along so far. Their squad would genuinely struggle in the Championship with just a bog standard manager.

We had one great tournament and let's face it, that campaign was hugely boosted by a truly great player (at least at that time). The rest of the squad is either weak or too old or too young. Euro 2016 was our high water mark by the look of it.

There's plenty to work with but I don't think Giggseh is your man (nor was Coleman once Bale went from world beater to merely excellent when fit).

Ward, Roberts, Davies, Brooks, Wilson, Ampadu, James, that's a decent core to work around and Bale will still be around for some time even as he diminishes. As will Ramsey who when he can actually get on the park is still excellent.

The likes of Hennessey, Gunter, A Williams, Allen and Taylor all need to go now. Time up.

Now I have a Bar in Spain.
Really disappointed in Wales, Scotland and ROI. Was hoping/they could all qualify (god I feel dirty).
Now looks like the only flags going up next summer will be St George.

At least you can put a St George's flag up there without offending the PC brigade!

Really strange that.
I had 15 up for St Georges day, and the nations
league.
Nothing for Paddys day.

There is a few Spanish bars with St Georges flags up.
I don't have flags up outside saints Days, football matches.
Though In am waiting for some Union flags to put on the terrace.
