Trump

I simply cannot believe that I saw the orange slob simulating both hand and mouth sexual activity with his microphone stand as the crowd cheered.
How on earth people have accepted being conditioned to vote for someone who is clearly off his rocker stuns me.

The election stealing rhetoric is a bit alarming, being ramped up although being debunked all the time. Feels like he's revving up for a coup if he loses, or at least some civil unrest.

Of course he is. Strangely the asking the vice president not to ratify the result in congress looks a bit of a non-starter this time

He needs to lose bigly as he’d say, if it’s close he can claim it’s rigged, lose by hundreds of thousands everywhere he can’t do a damn thing, he’ll still try though

I know, that’s the depressing thing, hopefully the government is ready this time and blocks him at every try

It's the courts that need to stop him. If the government blocks him then it really is rigged.

Very nervous times, neither side is really confident. A republican friend just posted this morning that it's all over and the democrats have won, whereas I have been convinced for the past week that all the momentum is with the orange turd. Polls are hyper-analysed and always ambiguous, the media are unreliable - consciously or not they are all biased - so it becomes difficult to completely trust any information source.

I just want it to be over.

Weirdly a fair few people being refused boarding to the US today. Never seen that in Dublin before.

I listen to the rest is politics US and the last week or so they’ve really sounded like they are trying to convince themselves she’s going to win.

People I've spoken to are concerned about low turnout due to apathy towards Harris and a backdoor Trump win. I'm off to the rally in a couple of hours. The chance to see DJ Jazzy Jeff is too good to pass up

I’m with Ann Selzer: Harris by a bigger margin than seemed likely.

Well, I’ve given up hope for the Wolves so I’ve got to invest it somewhere…

Nate Silver is one of the top election forecasters. A week ago he was saying his gut told him trump will win. For his final forecast he has run 80,000 simulations and Harris wins 50.015%.

Today is just the beginning, no matter which way it goes. It might be over on January 7th. Maybe.

3hr queue for the Kamala event last night given the security I didn't bother in the end. 30k attended

Anyone in the UK staying up for this?
I’ve got the Rest is Politics coverage up on YouTube. I have to get up at 3 for a flight so I might watch it a bit more closely from then though

The fat shambles of a former PM is on Channel 4's coverage so definitely one to avoid.
