There goes Julen!

I am on Lopetegui's side in all this.
He came in sorted the shitfest that Large had left us with.

He only fucking wants 2 players, this is only Shi, and Guo's fault
We don't have the foggiest what Lopetegui was demanding, but we do know that he's been briefing against the club through his pet journo all summer long. Hardly surprising that it ruffled feathers.

For all that Fosun and Jeff have played the twat this summer, I 100% believe the reports that Lopetegui's conduct is unsettling the players and affecting the dressing room, because that's absolutely consistent with how he's been acting in public for months.

Who is that though?

We are looking in the cheap and unemployed bin.
I'd absolutely take Solskjaer over O'Neil. I reckon he fits that bracket.

That's not to say I'd welcome him telling Matheus Nunes that he needs to be more like Jesper Blomqvist every five seconds, just he's better than someone who plays a shit version of Eddie Howe's Cuntball.

After the interview with Balogei, I did say the feeling within the club was he threw the first punch.

Follow that up with his interviews it's not gone down to well with the board.

However, as a fan I don't expect no Incomings, I expect the manager to want and request signings

Yep. He has been screwed over but he is by no means innocent in all of this either.

The players don't seem unsettled though. The preseason seems to have gone fairly well and we've seen progress and improvement from many, turning on or blaming Lopetegui doesn't feel like the right course of action.

He has grumbled openly and been worse than ignored, the club have actively backtracked on several things put out.

Why when he wants out, wants to end his contract. Why do we have to pay him ? Situations change, he will have had every opportunity to research what we were like before signing.

We can't know what the situation in the dressing room is (and what we've seen of pre-season was pretty encouraging, no doubt), but when the manager's blathering on in public that we're heading for relegation before a ball's been properly kicked, I wouldn't blame the players for getting hacked off, and judging by the way that things have gone over the past few days, it's only been getting worse.

You'll note that I've not said that the club is in any way blameless.

Grumbling is understating the case anyway - repeatedly briefing a sympathetic journalist about how shit your bosses are and how hard done-by you are over the course of several months goes quite a bit beyond that.

Why on earth one anyone not support the head coach (even if it's someone as uninspiring as O'Neil) and then say they hope the players ignore him??!

I get that things are shit, I agree that we're in a right mess, but seriously - surely you want any head coach of ours to succeed, even if everything points to the fact that he probably won't?

The internet is just weird.

I'm not happy with the club - they've priced me out of attending, they're letting the ground rot, they're fucking around with a total lack of planning, they're not investing in a squad that badly needs it etc etc but I'll always HOPE the guy in charge does a good job!!
Nope, I hope he fails and gets replaced in 10 games. Shi sees sense and appoints somebody decent.

Much like @Deutsch Wolf did with Lage.
