The only thing I can think of is that the VAR twats were criticised at half time yesterday for not giving it and subsequent incidents have been penalised.

Made this point yesterday too, although it's still a pen by these standards of course given Maguire didn't instigate the pulling. Also agree with Andy, it's good to see this type of thing being clamped down on.

When you watch it back, you can see Maguire pulling too. I don't agree with the decision, but I can see why it wasn't given

The new method at least seems accurate and quite easy to differentiate if someone is actually offside. Don't think we are far away from them being automated.
