Send up the Guus Hiddink signal.

Perhaps they should push the gravy boat out and call big Sam,show barca they don't need as he said " that tippy tappy bollocks"

Can't see a club like Real hanging around that long to sort themselves out, they need someone to come in a do a job now rather than write the season off.
It's exactly what they did with Zidane

Zidane had at least been groomed towards the first team job in previous seasons, spending time in other roles around the club before being Ancelotti's assistant. Think he was actually given the job permanently from day one anyway, just they kept his contract length in the dark so they could save face if it did go tits up.

They have to permanently appoint solari to do that. Spanish regs allow an interim manager for a maximum of two weeks.

I bet if Southampton ditch Hughes (they probably should, he isn't getting anything at all out of that squad, they aren't very good but they should be better than that) then they go for BFS. Then there'll be three worse teams and he and his PFM mates will bang on about how he's pulled off another miracle escape, how does he do it? Before leaving them and with nothing at all having being solved in the long term.

Going for BFS would go against everything Southampton originally stood for. I get they mostly did that already with Hughes, but at least he had *some* small reputation as attempting to play football, plus history with them, as opposed to whatever the gravy man does.

I reckon they will keep him, partly as I don;t think they are doing very well financially and he would be expensive to pay off. All good for us if they do keep him too.

He's running out of teams to go to.

Everton, Palace, Newcastle, West Ham - already had him, wouldn't have him back so they're all off the table permanently
Cardiff, Huddersfield - no-one is saving them other than by a massive fluke, they're just shit and don't have the money to fix it
Burnley - doubt Dyche is in any real danger, although they do look dreadful
Fulham - no way, just not going to work with that squad, very much doubt they can spend much in January after they went cray cray at the end of the summer window
Anyone above that - not going to get relegated this year so they wouldn't want him, what would be the point

Hughes isn't that popular in the media, Bisto Tits is (I don't know why), so expect that narrative to ramp up if they lose against Watford on Saturday.

Birmingham evening mail says everyone's favourite novel writing, potato headed Geordie is among the favourites to take over at Southampton, they also reckon Martin o'neil as well so who knows,if only Harry wasn't going into the jungle I'm sure he'd be up for it,being just down the road

Fair to say that after he walked out on them to go to Pompey that particular bridge is well and truly burnt.

Who's Bisto Tits and why does he have that name?

One of my favourite bits of Redknapp lore is when he claimed he wasn't at fault for relegating them after taking over on 8 December (just the 22 games to go) when they were 18th, one point from safety. In true Deano style, he won one and lost five of the final eight games of the season when it really mattered.

They've been linked to Strachan as well, someone at that club lost the plot a little while ago. I'll blame Les Reed because I don't like him.

Its Sam Allardyce, and I think it's to do with drinking a pint of gravy or something,DW will no doubt be along shortly and put us right

Wenger replacing Gattuso at Milan.

Swindon have fired Phil Brown

Neil Ardley expected to be sacked by AFC Wimbledon if they lost their FA Cup game vs Haringey Borough. They won 1-0 but Wimbledon have sacked him anyway... (Mutual Consent, yada yada)

Santiago Solari getting the Real Madrid job on a permanent basis.

Shrewsbury sack John Askey. Wonder if they will go and get Hurst back in

(last week the CEO of Shrewsbury reacted to reports they were going to fire Askey as a pack of lies, malicious and total fabrication)

That's a cycle that's worked out brilliantly for everyone.

Askey + Hurst - sacked
Ipswich + Macc - rock bottom and looking fairly doomed (Macc also sacked Askey's replacement)
Mick - laughing
