Lemina, Gomes, Doyle and Boubacar is good depth in the middle of the park.

I'd like another wide option as Neto, Sarabia and Hwang isn't sufficient, even if RAN is potentially freed up slightly by Bueno arriving at the back which gives the option of Toti covering LB again.

I agree although seems like they are saying Gonzalez is that player.

I think we will still try to sign a striker and then be done

My notes from Vickery's comments:

Bueno – came up through all the ranks for Uruguay, after U20 Champs straight to Barca, didn’t come off but did at Girona. Defends – nothing flash but does what he has to do. Fringes of Uruguay team, solid citizen, defends and constructs a bit

Gonzales – trying to do an ‘Inciso’. Left footed, lightweight, plays either wing and gets in to the penalty area but not much to go on. Wouldn’t imagine will have a decisive impact this season

Definitely promising.

Blocks and clearances being so high (whilst tackles and interceptions are low) suggests he's good at defending set pieces which we really do need help with at the moment.

We shouldn't be expecting Gonzales to be anything other than a surprise this season, certainly shouldn't be seeing him as a critical squad player. Nunes going leaves us light, he shouldn't be the replacement. We were already weak in that area even with Nunes

Agreed. I've been assuming Podence is gone for planning purposes, but the clock is ticking on that...

I know nothing on Doyle, and I’m not overly sold on boubacar so feel we could do with another CM. Won’t happen Ofcourse.

Sarabia is better inside, Neto on the left, but is on the right due to lack of options, Hwang is Hwang and Podence is done at the club, he's beyond the point of integration, he'll go even if the deal is shit in the next 48 hours. RAN is an option now I guess, but again on the left
