This isn’t going to end well whichever way you look at it. The atmosphere when Man Utd turn up on the final day will be one of total anger.
As said they’re trying to turn it into NFL style system having 20 super clubs playing around the continent meaning 70k packed stadiums and huge tv audiences and only having the elite few players playing at this level.
The fans of these clubs say they’re outraged, that’s great but they’ll still watch their team once it starts.

They've got to, they've absolutely got to. It will dilute the competitiveness of their competition, it breaks existing rules, and it's basically the 12 saying they're bigger than the game. I don't care how much it costs, they've got to be shown that they aren't. They can only have one or the other.

Who would be the PL leader club wise? The vocal leader of objection? Kenwright maybe. The big characters like Ellis, Bates etc who would call it out for what it is, don't really exist in the corporate model which now runs clubs. Secretly most clubs will be jealous and hope to get the crumbs from the top table with the odd invite every now and then.

If they aren't kicked out of the PL, they've bought themselves the Top 6 for evermore.

Which means I'll stop watching PL football and Wolves along with it which would be fucking heart breaking but I'm not watching any league that lets these clubs stick around if they're playing ESL too.

I appreciate that I am probably a minority view on that but top level football in this country will be tainted forever for me if this happens and they stay. It's bollocks.

A twenty team Premier League with the sly six still involved will be so skewed that the only interesting battles would be for the possible places for other Euro competitions or relegation.

Reminds me of The Hundred in cricket. A game supposedly designed for people who don't like what already exists. Just like that who are these new people? They aren't really there, they are already watching the product which is out there, the clubs just want a higher % of their money
